What a beautiful little peaceful haven in the middle of a busy city.

Sit, relax and realise just how peaceful it is. Beautiful.

If you visit Copenhagen, you must take a trip to the Royal Library. It is very close to other attractions, so you could spend a good half-day in the area.

The library has two sections - the original building and a new section, known as the Black Diamond, because of the stone used in its construction. The connection between the sections is very nice, as it shows the change from old to new.

Both sections are impressive. The new section has a cafe, a restaurant, a gift shop and other attractions. In the old section, there is an old reading room, which is quite nice to visit and even relax inside.

The Black Diamond of the Royal Library is one of the most impressive sight of the canal tours. The black building itself is a multipurpose cultural space. The library proper is housed in the red building in the background.
