I haven't been to Christiania for many years and I was positively surprised how this alternative "town" in Copenhagen has developed into. I went there with a friend and we had a great time looking at all the wonderful things you could buy in the different artists' booths. It was difficult not to ruin yourself! The atmosphere is very relaxed, Christmassy and warm and you can talk with all the artists, producers about their art and/or products. They're all friendly and love to talk to you and it gives your purchase an extra quality. But we also talked to many without buying, it was interesting to hear about, but as said before, we had to control ourselves Naturally you could also buy all kinds of refreshments, like gløgg (hot wine with spices, raisins and almonds and often with some hard liquor in it as well. Just what you need on a cold day. I can highly recommend a visit to this Christmas market. Afterwards you can have a nice dinner at one of Christiania's restaurants. We went to Café Loppen and had some tasty Thai food and beer. Nice
