Scandic Sluseholmen
Ranked #33 of 117 Hotels in Copenhagen

This is a mediocre economy hotel on the outskirts of Copenhagen. There is nothing around. A giant supermarket on the other side of the road is only accessible for members with member cards (which we only realized at the checkout).
It is relatively easy to take the public transport and go to the city centre with buses 30 or 10 (both go to City Hall/Tivoli), although in the evening buses come once in every 30 mins only. Everything is very expensive in Copenhagen so what you save on cheaper accommodation you might lose on public transport or taxi fares.
The best word to describe rooms is featureless. Rooms are extremely basic. The only "extra" is a minibar. The one in our room made terrible noise, we had to unplug it because we could not sleep. Windows can be opened, there is no air conditioning. There are no toiletries, you have to buy them if you forgot something at home. Beds were too soft for me.
Breakfast was way the best thing in that hotel. Great variety of food, fruits and tea. Staff was also tolerant with late comers and they let them pick something.
The hotel also had free wifi, which, in practice, worked only in the lobby and pigeon post seemed faster sometimes than sending an email. There is a small recreation area on the 5th floor with sauna and a small pool, which was nice.
Staff was helpful and kind, however reception does not offer services, which are normally considered average or basic, for example, there is no money exchange or no selling of public transport tickets.
Some travel information say this is a four star hotel but it is definitely not. I'd still definitely recommend this hotel as it was clean, safe and breakfast was excellent but do not have high expectations because everything is so basic and there is nothing unforgettable there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with harbor view, the other side looks on office buildings and warehouses.

Not a very good location, poor transportation and quite far from city, you can pretty much only choose taxi. Room is ok, but staff were unfriendly and worst wi-fi ever in the whole world, internet drops off like every one minute.

The hotel was very comfortable, had an astonishing breakfast and solid wi-fi (we stayed at the 2nd floor). The staff was very helpful and the option of renting a bike for the day was the best involvement we did to sight-see the city. However, we chose this hotel due to its proximity to the airport and the access was not easy. The airport is about ~190 DKK away with a taxi but we were hoping there was either metro or a bus that would take us for a lower cost. The truth is that there is no metro closeby or even a direct bus/train. You have to take a bus to the metro and then swap lines in the process of getting to the airport. On the bright side, it's a good solution for backpackers and when time is not a problem. We still found it a bit expensive considering it's location.

Room Tip: Rent-a-bike from the hotel. It's cheaper than buying bus tickets (roundtrip) and makes the sight...

We choose this hotel due to its location, which is about 5 mins walk from the station. The decor of the hotel is less impressive that how it looks on the website. The hotel is average-priced (relatively cheap) for a Copenhagen hotel. The rooms are OK. We had a room on the upper floors so not noisy however the shower pressure was pretty abysmal. The rooms are fairly small (over 80 rooms on a floor). The desk service was average. We did not go for the breakfast as this is not included. If you are going to be in Copenhagen for more than 2 nights, I would probably recommend you look for a nice place on Air BnB instead. This hotel is however pretty OK for a short trip.

Room Tip: I guess that staying on the upper floors and facing away from the street means less noise

Fairly new hotel. Not expensive, clean, good for weekend travellers or overnighters that need an affordible hotel near the centre of Copenhagen. Very near to Tivoli and trainstation. Too many rooms for the breakfast area so be ealy or late if you don t want to risk being in a long cue to get in. Breakast is good with selectinn fruit, various egg varieties, bacon, tomatoes, cucimber, selection of Danish breads, yoghurt and cereals. Coffe from machine acceptable and typical hotel orange drink. Rooms are good with a safe and small basic bathroom. Minibar was empty in our case but bar was open late in reception till after 0100 in our case. Windows in rooms can open which is great if you are not street facing.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the back if you like to sleep with your window open. Still city noise of cours...

Room: tiny, no A/C, small window, partly IKEA furnished, but the worst part: the toilet bowl had black marks on the outside and brown watermarks on the inside....
cleanliness was an overall issue with the room.
only upside: disabled-accessible, but that was not a concern for us.

Staff: rather nice at check-in, unfriendly at check-out

Breakfast: OK

Location: OK if you are travelling to the center by car

Overall experience: Very poor, considering that we were very happy with First Hotels elswhere.
