The Square Copenhagen

Hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the central station close to the main square. The rooms are spacious, I upgraded for a few euro to a larger room on the 6th floor with a balcony at check in. The breakfast is amazing, service was of the highest quality.

Stayed in a nice single room, facing the street, in 5th floor. Everything in the room. Excellent service in the reception. A very nice place to stay! Close to everything you want to visit in the city.

This is in a good location near the city centre. The place is neat and clean, however rooms are tiny. The bed was a single size and the window wouldn't close completely. wifi worked well. Breakfast was a good standard spread.
There isn't any eating place on site and one has to look elsewhere.

Room Tip: Take a big size room

Small rooms, friendly staff, very centrally located. Breakfast - a study in ineffective and stressed solutions - and too few People on the job. They tried their best and deserves credit for that.

Modern, clean but small rooms, the bathrooms very nice and clean. I would have no problem to book here again. We stayed with two adults and three kids.

A great hotel if you are looking to explore the city, as it has a central location and isn't too far to walk to most places. The staff were friendly and check in and out was fast and easy.

Our rooms view was lacking, with a view of a construction site and other hotel rooms but we weren't too bothered as most of the time we were out exploring. The room was quite clean, although there was a cobweb hanging from the ceiling.

The bed was by far the best asset, it was so comfortable and had no problems getting to sleep at all. The bathroom was also nice and modern, although the see through logo on the frosted glass door was a little odd.

Overall a great location and if you don't want to spend too much this is the right hotel for you. The actual square is covered in construction though which was a little disappointing, but was not the hotels fault!

I stayed at The Square for three nights in April, 2014. This is a modern hotel with trendy, functional design. Room and bathroom were small but very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. (The one exception was the absence of tea- and coffee-making facilities, not uncommon in this part of the world I'm discovering.)

The location of the hotel is very central to the city of Copenhagen and close to the pedestrian shopping precincts, Tivoli Gardens, Glyptotek museum and a number of good cafes and restaurants. (Our party had an excellent meal at The Italian, only a short walk away from the hotel.)

The hotel's breakfast was not as lavish or as varied as I've found in other hotels in this region but it was perfectly fine.

There's a massive amount of construction work going on in Copenhagen right now, some of it right across the road from the hotel, but this didn't seem to provide any intrusive noise in my room (which didn't face the square but was on a side street). There was obviously some renovation going on within the hotel too, and this might have caused problems had I been trying to sleep during the day.

The staff were friendly and spoke excellent English.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the City Square, and check if renovations within the hotel are still going...

Do not be put off by the external appearance of this hotel. Once inside, it is very beautiful, very clean with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very cosy for the 3 of us ( 2 adults and a 8 year old), the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful, with a great choice of food. Because of its great location, we actually walked everywhere! I would highly recommend staying there.
