“Modern, clean hotel in a great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

Great location right next to the city hall and a few minutes from Tivoli Gardens. Hotel was very modern and clean, despite the exterior looking a bit tired. Rooms had comfortable beds, nice big windows, and plenty storage space. They also had free, fast wifi (we were able to stream Netflix no problem) which was great.

Only negatives were that there are major construction works going on in the square opposite at the moment so unfortunately the nice city hall view I expected was completely obscured, and it was a tad noisy so you couldn't keep the window open. Not the hotels fault though. Also there was no safe in the room so we had to leave our laptop at reception every day which was a bit of a pain.

Overall though we had a good experience, and in fact my partner and I ended up getting engaged on our visit so Copenhagen will always hold a special place in my heart :)

Room Tip: While the construction works are ongoing best to request a back/side street view

Dear ’lynney85’
Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay with us.
The hotel building itself was built in 1960/1961 by Danish architects Graae and Helger and the exterior shows that interesting era of construction. I am happy to hear that you found the hotel very modern and clean and that you were pleased with our beds, windows, luggage storage and fast wifi.
On behalf of the staff and myself I would like to congratulate you on your engagement. Copenhagen really is a wonderful city where you can feel the love!

Yours sincerely
Jens Wittendorff, General Manager

This is a nice property in a good spot in the Danish capital Copenhagen. However, watch out for the room next to the elevators on the top floor - same floor as the restaurant. The engine room is close by and as elevators run through the night - I had a restless night.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms next to the lifts (i.e on the same side as the lifts)!

We arrived early (9am) having just disembarked from a cruise. Cost of taxi from Ocean Key terminal to hotel was around 180DKK.

The receptionist was very pleasant, checked us in and stored our luggage securely until our rooms became available at 3pm.

Our room was pretty small but very clean with a reasonable bathroom with bath / shower. The bed was very comfortable. My only complaint is that there was a lot of noise from outside into the early hours from revellers along with sirens throughout the night. This was a Saturday night.

The situation is ideal for walking to the main station - 10 minutes, Stroget the main shopping street and Tivoli Gardens. A 15 - 20 minute walk along Stroget will take you to Nyhavn with many bars and restaurants on the canal side.

A Hop on Hop off bus stop is 5 minutes walk away beside the Radisson Blu hotel. The airport bus stop is outside the hotel with buses every 5 minutes although would not suggest using this with a lot of luggage.

There is a lot of work going on in the main square to the front of the hotel which spoils the outlook at the moment.

Room Tip: Rooms to the front of the hotel should have a better outlook after work has been completed.

We had to wait for a very long line for check in.
We rent a bike and was so expensive at hotel. The bike was old and I injured my right foot. I asked the hotel to change the bike for a double family one since it was already paid and they said no.
Air conditioning at room not working.
Three very small elevators with long waiting lines.
Forget this hotel for sure.

excellent stuff, clean and modern hotel. Rooms are big compare to average European hotels in cities. Its in the center of the city, walk from train station. Reasonably priced. I had it thru hotel.com, all taken care of before I arrived.

Nice hotel near everything , train station , attractions , I was at the 6th floor , view of the rear, not a nice view but quiet and you can see firework from Tivoli if you don't want to go on site ...
didn't have breakfast there.
fast check-in but room not ready until 3pm , there's a luggage room at the reception
two tablets with printers for guest use at the reception .
room clean , bed are soft , air conditioning work great , nice bathroom

The hotels location right next to Tivoli gardens is what prompted me to book here in the first place and i wasn't disappointed.
Hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming, rooms are not massive but are more than adequate and are very tastefully decorated.
Breakfast is on the top floor which gives beautiful views over parts of Copenhagen, however the food was not to mine, my daughters or my wifes taste, so we stuck to yohgurt, fruit and bread.
Overall a very nice hotel, excellent location and good value, i would stay again.
