This is a very friendly hotel for a reasonable price (they give discount if you pre-pay from their web-site) and in a good location if you don't mind a bit of walking into the older part of town. It's close to the train station (can walk if not too much luggage or take a taxi) and also very accessible to bus lines that run frequently. My room was very nice with a good balcony and very quiet (good to be on the back away from the street that could be pretty noisy) and clean. Wireless internet access is available and they are generous enough to loan you a laptop to do email in their lobby. Breakfast, although expensive (as are most meals in Copenhagen), was excellent as noted by other reviewers and is extremely plentiful with lots of coffee and tea (if you like lots of coffee don't have breakfast out as it's very expensive--about $6 a small cup!). Towels aren't great but they are changed every day. Staff are extremely pleasant, speak excellent English, and are very helpful.

We just stayed here for about a week - very comfortable bed, nice balcony for fresh air. Good breakfast, with wonderful yogurt if you are a yogurt fan. The people who work there are uniformly pleasant and helpful. The location is out of the city center, but we found it an easy walk, and very quiet.

My one complaint applies not just to this hotel, but to many others in the middling price range - what's with the crappy towels??? Would it really cost that much more to give guests the chance to dry themselves on something larger and thicker than an over-sized dishtowel?

That said, we had a lovely time there.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night on the weekend, it was really nice, the room was clean and comfortable it was about a 20 min walk from the main street and 5-7 min walk from the train station. Was in a central location with a supermarket up the road and many cafes/restaurants. We felt very safe in this area. The staff were courtious, we didnt have the breakfast as we chose not to pay the 8-9 euro per person for it, we had a croissant and coffee at a cafe just down the street for 130DKK (about 8 euro), however walked past the breakfast table in the morning and it looked very nice. No complaints really about this hotel.. it served the purpose and was reasonably priced for Copenhagen.

Great Hotel. The rooms are clean and cosy and the hotel is spotless. We stayed in the front part of the hotel, it was a little noisy because of the busy road outside but it was our request to be in a front room so no agruements there. The hotel makes a good effort to be organic. Natural products in the bathroom and the breakfast is organic in style ? home made jams and yogarts with fresh rolls and coffee and tea where you need to strain the tea leaves. The staff are very helpful and the hotel is an easy run into town on the 26 bus. Busses run from the City centre to all the big attractions. To get to the hotel from the airport take the train towards central station. The ticket office is in the arrivals hall and the platform is a few steps away. From central station cross the road to the information office. Pick up one of their free maps that show the attractions and bus routes and take the 26 in the direction of Frederiksberg Have. Get off the bus opposite the Museum of Copenhagen outside an Opticians shop. The hotel is on the same side of the road 100 metres away and opposite a florists and plant shop. The Copenhagen Card is hard to get your value out of as the museums are free and the Carlsburg Museum and Tivoli don?t give discount with the card anyway. Better to get a strip of bus/metro tickets and pay your way into anything that charges.

I would call it a nice, botique hotel. Loved the interior.
Extremely friendly and helpful stuff.
It made us feel like home.
Tidy.
Nice surprise of welcoming glass of wine. (and a good price of a wine bottle in the room)
Completely organic and tasty breakfast.
Not in the very city centre (10-20min to the old town), but nice restaurants (sushi&sticks some 4 blocks away) and shops (irma, organic shop, DVD, etc) in the area, too.
Only 10min walking distance to the station.

Don't go there if you like such big monsters and impersonal hotels as Radissons, etc
Don't go there if during rush hours you can't wait 10min for breakfast which is served in the reception room of the hotel. The nice lady who apparently is in chief for breakfast makes you laugh while you are waiting.
And you are 'meeting the ocean there' (as the lady said because so many different people meet there) :)

A quirky but pleasant, clean and generally comfortable hotel. Somewhat typical of small (good) European hotels. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The breakfast of muesli, many cheeses, pastries, homemade yoghurts, jams, cold meats several teas and a fantastic variety of breads, meant this was not in the US style of breakfast.but delicious, generous and great value..

We had the room with the dormer window at the back on the 5th floor - quiet except for Tivoli's fireworks!. No shower curtain - a pain, single mattresses on a double bed unromantic and generally fairly spartan by US/Australian standards. It is not representative of the spacious rooms in the hotel photographs but good value and comfortable nonetheless.

Location was not a problem. Plenty of cafes (incl Cafe Citroen per Lonely Planet) and several supermarkets nearby were convenient. Its a short walk to the railway and Tivoli..

Great value in an expensive city.

The hotel is fine, friendly welcome, nice rooms (we had a room in the "backyard" which was very quite) and good breakfast. It is located a bit far from the center, though there are a couple of buses that in no more than five minutes for the price of 20 kr can take you to the main attractions and, even nearer, to the central station (b y the way, in Copenhagen buses are punctual).
