Description: At 56° you can look forward to a very special culinary experience, because the focus is on the good ingredients and to establish proximity between the kitchen and the guest. The chefs take pride in using only the best ingredients, which means that the menu follow the season - and sometimes from day to day. Although the menu is changing, you can be sure of high quality when the traditional Nordic cuisine meets modern and creative chefs art.

Very, very delicate and tasty dinner in a pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is placed in an old cellar. Crispy vegetables of all kinds and wonderful sauces. The food is reasonably priced. Bus 9 a takes you almost there, get off on the next to the last stop (before the stop at the opera ) and have a short, pleasant walk along the sea side to get there.

we have been traveling for a month now, and visiting the best restaurants (located through michelin and trip advisor) daily. and we discovered 56 simply because we took a beautiful walk, and the energy of this spot pulled me in! this was our most enjoyable meal experience of our entire trip. surrounded by the growing herbs, and pastoral historic setting. very peaceful. but also close to (we walked from) town. the fresh food is spectacular! your hosts are very passionate about everything they are doing here. i described what i wanted in a wine, and was delivered the very best bottle i have had during our trip. i was so grateful for this, and liked it so much, i will be sending a gift bottle of seasmoke pinot when the weather cools! i really couldn't have been more welcomed, or better taken care of. i cannot think of one criticism.

This restaurant is a little out of the way from downtown Copenhagen, but well worth the effort to get to. A 20 minute ride on the 9A bus from the central railway station.
The food was served in modest portions but was superb combinations of fresh and local ingredients. The staff were friendly and good at advising on pairing of drinks to go with the meal.
On a warm summer evening it was a great place to be sitting canal side taking in the local neighbourhood.

Wonderful gourmet meal in a rustic farm house setting. Though I can't recite the ingredients or description provided by the chef with each course, I can say each course was delicious, and beautifully presented. Our dinner consisted of locally grown vegetables and herbs, pork tenderloin, and fresh berries. Each course was presented and described by the chef.

Cost was about US $200 for three (without gratuity). Would definitely recommended if you're interested in well prepared, gourmet dining. We walked from central Copenhagen - several miles - nice walk if you have Google Maps on your smartphone or know your way around. My teenage boys loved the food but it would probably be a better match for couples or adult groups.

Quite a bit off the beaten track, we did a full tour of Christianshavn to get there, but it was certainly worth it. The food was fantastic and, if I was honest, some of the best I have eaten. The staff were very friendly and each course was introduced by the owner/chef, very patiently in English for us. It was not cheap by our normal standards but it was certainly worth it. There is a market menu at 325k and then you add wine etc on top. We added cheese as well, well it would have been rude not too!

Very very good and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone
