In search of a "typical" local pub type eatery, we were giving up when we passed the Cafe World and thought that this will have to do. What a fortuitous encounter, generally speaking sandos or sarnies aren't our choice for lunch but the sandwiches served here are the best we have ever experienced anywhere since starting our travels in 1971.
Who would have thought a sandwich was worth raving about? Well, ours were made luxuriously with plentiful, quality ingredients and bread to die for. Neither of us are shy with the knife & fork, but could not finish the handsome serving.
It gets better:- add a nice selection of beers including a local brew that we always search for, all served to us by a couple of very hard working but extremely charming young ladies.
The premises are unpretentious, very clean and understandably quite busy.
Cafe World is one of our "little finds" this trip. If ever we are back in Copenhagen, it'll be a beeline for this eatery.
