“The perfect place to stay in Copenhagen!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 October 2013

When we checked in at the Adina we were delighted to know that our apartment was ready for us after so many hours of travel. We were welcomed warmly and quite pleased when we took the elevator to our apartment to find that it was even more than we had hoped! Hotels are very costly in Denmark. Although this was by no means "cheap", it was the perfect place to stay for several days before taking a transatlantic cruise back to the US.
We had a 2-room apartment. It had a lovely balcony offering a view of the skyline, a kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator. Housekeeping would run the dishwasher as part of its daily cleaning. The dining room/living room was a comfortable place to relax.
The bathroom had a washer and dryer (which was a challenge figuring out how to use them!) and the beds were very comfortable.
Jo welcomed us warmly upon arrival. We had lovely service from Dagbjort and Benjamin as well.
We purchased the Dane Package directly from the hotel's website since it also included a daily breakfast. The food was fine. Service was excellent!
Free internet is available in the lobby and the restaurant.
What we learned is that when someone in Denmark tells you "oh, it's only a 10 or 15 minute walk" unless you are a cross country runner or a track star, you need to add an hour or so to the estimate! Loved the visit in Copenhagen and the Adina made it so much easier. Thank you.

This is a great place to stay in CH. We took the train from the airport (we had the CH card) and walked about 5 blocks to the hotel. From the time we checked in we were impressed by the helpfulness of the staff and the proximity to the buses which took us to the heart of everything including the cruise port. Our room was clean and comfortable and the grocery store next door made this the perfect choice.

It is one of the best hotel I have ever stayed. Clean, large room, good breakfast, and fantastic swimming pool, sauna, gym! Unfortunately there isn't free Internet connection on the rooms, but just in the lobby (at the restaurant area doesn't work!). I give five stars and I will certainly come back but only if there will be a free wifi (as promised by the receptionist!). Surely recommended!

Adina Denmark was a good hotel with good facilities for our family of 5 (girls aged 4, 7 & 9). Kitchen facilities were great and due to Denmark being such an expensive city we made use of the kitchen for breakfasts and dinners. Coming from Perth Australia we are quite accustomed to high prices but Denmark really threw us. $10++ coffees were the norm in the city so we made the most of the Nespresso downstairs in the hotel.

The staff in the hotel were professional and very helpful. The rooms were well cleaned and we felt safe and relaxed during our stay. When we arrived our ensure shower drain was blocked and it caused flooding of the bathroom. The next morning we reported it to the front desk and it was rectified straight away.

There are good little grocery stores nearby - downstairs, Osteport train station and through the military park near the hotel. The bakery 150m from the hotel is great and a must visit for coffee and delicious cakes & breads.

Problems with Denmark Adina-

Adina wifi is not up to other hotel standards. We had to sit in the lobby to use wifi which was disappointing. We also had issues with Adina Frankfurt so I'm not sure whether this would be a good business travellers hotel choice. My husband struggled to keep up to date with work emails as he did not fancy sitting down in the lobby to get work done. Wifi should just be a given.

Unknown to us Adina rents their pool out to a local swim school in the afternoons. We were asked to leave the pool by the swim school instructor which was not ideal as we had promised our daughters a swim after a long day of walking. The spa was also filled with swim school children. Not a selling point of the hotel.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to families travelling through Denmark.

Adina is located about ten minutes walk from Osterport railwaystation. From that station you can easily go to the city centre and also to the airport and to Sweden.
I was upgraded to a two bedroom suite with a combined kitchen and living room, two bathrooms and a small balcony. The suite was in good condition and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good. The staff was very nice and helpful.

I stayed there before and after a cruise. On my last night before we left for home, our room was entered and my IPad and Kindle were stolen. They have no security cameras so finding out who it was was impossible. Their insurance would not reimburse me. After several communications they offered to reimburse me for my last nights stay. I think they did the right thing and I am satisfied. Upon returning home I found out that my homeowners policy covered my loss. So all ended well. They told me this never happened before but maybe it was time to consider a camera system.

I recently spent 3 nights at the Adina and my friend and I loved it. We were flying in from two different locations, and so met at the Adina and both found it very straight forward - and safe - to get the train from the airport and walk from Osterport station, even at 10pm. Our weekend coincided with some sensational September weather so we preferred to walk in to town each day and loved the 15-20 minute walk along the harbour into Nyhavn in particular. We took taxis to and from the hotel in the evening and coming from London, found the prices very reasonable for a trip back into town (or back to the hotel) each night.

We stayed in a standard twin one bedroom apartment, facing the courtyard on the first floor. The rooms were clean and well appointed, comfortable and quite spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the convenience of the mini supermarket next door as well. The extra space afforded to us through the separate bedroom was fantastic for a girl's weekend away.

Though outside of the centre, I would definitely stay at the Adina again on a return trip to wonderful Copenhagen.
