“Great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 January 2014

Two of us stayed here for a long weekend. Firstly, very easy to get to from the airport. We did have to walk a little to get into the city centre, but we saw a lot more of the city that way anyway. There's always the nearby Osterport station to catch a train as well, and it cost us around 120kr. for a taxi to dinner in the evening.

Our room was a great size and very clean, with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage. Our shower broke on the first morning (only a minor issue) but they still agreed to move us to another room and we even got upgraded! We didn't use the pool, but it looks great so definitely remember your swimwear. Also the Netto just beneath it is great to pick up a quick breakfast or anything you may have forgotten at home. All in all, extremely pleased with our stay, and a very positive contribution to our weekend away.

We stayed in this hotel in August for our cruise. We selected it for the price/size ratio, we wanted room to spread out.

Location - the hotel is a little way from the center of Copenhagen but not an unreasonable 30 minute or so walking distance to the center. The trains are about a 10 minute walk from the hotel and a bus does go near the hotel. The bus does come fairly often as it runs to the ferry terminal further down the street. There is a small grocery store in the same building where you can pick up items for your kitchen in the room. Dining options appeared limited to us. If arriving from the airport with luggage, don't take the train, I would say take a cab, the walk to the hotel from Osterport can be difficult because the sidewalks are all small cobblestones except for the bike path. The Little Mermaid is about a 7 minute walk away but there are no other sites nearby. It would be a good location if you have a cruise boarding at the Langeline cruise location as you can walk to it, Freeport is about a 20 euro cab ride away.

Service - the front desk was good at handling our check-in, it was done quickly and efficiently. They greeted us when we came in the hotel and answered all our questions. We could not get a second key for the room because they hadn't received a new shipment of keys. This is unfortunate because you need to leave a key in the panel by the door to get the electricity to run so if one of us left the room to use the wi-fi, we couldn't let ourselves back in. On the second day, when I asked for a new key, I gave my room number and they issued a key. They did not ask my name or look at ID. This is a concern to me because I could have given them anyone's room number and helped myself to their luggage. When we left our bags after checkout and came back to pick them up, no one asked to see our claim tags, we were led to the storage room and told to pick out our bags. Again, this is a security risk and not well controled.

Room - we had a one bedroom apartment on the third floor. It was clean and well furnished. We cooked a few meals in there. The bathroom was a reasonable size but getting used to the half glass panel for showering took a little to get used to so as to not hose down the bathroom. The bed was good and we both slept well. The washing machine had a musty smell in it like you get when you don't properly let it dry after using. The hotel should look at this when doing their cleaning as that smell will transfer to people's clothes. It is unfortunate that you have to go to the lobby to get free wi-fi otherwise pay really expensive rates for in room service. Hopefully the hotel reconsiders this, when you are running an apartment hotel, guests like to relax in their room and that includes using all our connected devices.

We did not eat at the restaurant or use the exercise facilities.

We would consider staying here again in the future but would certainly consider other options given the limited transportation availablilty.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Adina Apartment Hotel. Our suite was clean, spacious and very well equipped: washer, dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, etc. When called upon the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. By Copenhagen standards the price was excellent value too.

The only negative for me was the lack of wifi in the room, although it was available in the public spaces. Others may not be keen on the location. It's about a 30 minute walk to the city centre. However the no. 26 bus passes close to the hotel and there are regular trains from the centre to Osterport station, which is nearby.

Note that there is a Netto next door for stocking up on provisions and there is an excellent little branch of the Lagkagehuset bakery around the corner, which is perfect for grabbing breakfast or a quick coffee.

We found the apartment spacious and very well equipped with everything we needed. We had booked an additional bed for our 2 year old but all had been used so we were just given a mattress - however that was perfect as safer, and as compensation we got free wifi in the room for the duration of our stay. We did not use the hotel restaurant / room service preferring to make our own meals (Netto next door very handy) and also had takeaway pizza and wine from the small pizza place opposite. Also an amazing bakery just around the corner. The location is a little our
t of the centre and not exactly picturesque but a short walk (10 mins) to the little mermaid and walkable to the centre (30 mins?) but generally we took the train or metro from Osterport station (10 min walk). You can also reach the airport very easily from there without change. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: We had a one bed apartment with an extra bed on 5th floor overlooking the internal courtyard - only...

We have just come back from 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary with our 17mth old daughter.

Overall the apartment was very clean and well equipped. The design was lovely and made the most of the space. The staff generally were friendly.

Overall I would say that the apartment was not very family friendly but for us the combination of an apartment where she could sleep where we still had a living space and room service facilities was important to us. It is difficult to put your finger on but I felt that families were tolerated rather than welcomes which was a shame.

There were a few things that made this an overall ok experience for us -
The apartments were expensive in our view and the added extras and the charges were very high - for instance the cost of wifi in the room at a rate of approx. £20 per day, the high cost charged for breakfast, approx. £15 each, the high costs of room service meals that were not particularly good quality and the high charge wanted to include a cot in our room.
As said the hotel is out of town and on one day we walked back from Tivoli near the railway and the area did seem to be quiet run down in parts but maybe we were just unlucky with the roads we ended up in. Bear in mind the high costs of taxis and how this is going to impact on your trip whilst you stay. The walk is nice dependant on the weather and obviously with the mood of a little one.

Dear Becky8206,

Thank you for taking time to write a review here on tripadvisor.
I am sorry you feel it is expensive, unfortauntely Copenhagen and in hotels it is generally kind of expensive. There is free wifi in the lobby and restaurant.

The hotel is a little out of the way requiring either a good walk, bus, train or taxi but that was a minor problem. It is close to the Little Mermaid though. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the room (an apartment) was very clean and spacious. The apartment had cooking facilities, dish washer, washing machine and dryer, if needed. Virtually alongside of the hotel is a small supermarket which was convenient. The only downsides was the requirement to pay for WiFi in the room (lobby is free) and the breakfast staff seemed more intent on talking among themselves than keeping the buffet replenished. A very comfortable hotel that I would recommend to others.

The studio apartment was perfect for a 3 night stay, the room very well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was superb, and it was very handy having Netto so close. Travelling to/from the airport was very quick and simple and it was easy to either use public transport (the train, 10 mins walk away or the 26 bus) or even to walk into the centre of Copenhagen.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Copenhagen.
