“Great new addition to Guldsmeden hotels!”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

After Bertram's and Axel, we are testing Bebette with our 5y boy.

If you know the concept of Guldsmeden organic hotels, you won't be surprised by this great new addition, located in a quite area of the town. Close to the hype galleries of Bregade.

The hotel is not directly on the metro line but the bus line can bring you either to the metro station of Kongen Nytorv or to the train station of Osterport.

We booked a superior room and we had plenty of space for 3.
The service is friendly and very efficient.

The breakfast (not included) is a rich buffet of fresh food.
While we loved the buffet concept for dinner at Bertram's and Axel, we were less impressed by the a-la-carte menu of Babette. Although, the quality standards remain the same. There are plenty of great restaurants in the neighbourhood.

I strongly recommend this hotel

My daughter and i stayed in this hotel for just one short night after checking out of the ghastly SKT Petri. I cant say enough about the staff and comfort and cleanliness of this place. Our room, a standard double, had high ceilings, beautiful windows, bright white linens, and everything we needed. The small little bathroom was so cute and functional and totally spotless. The free Wifi was very speedy. we were not at the hotel long enough to have breakfast or any meal but the area dedicated to this around the main reception looked very inviting and fun. The hotel prides itself in its "green" approach and while this is great it is not too in your face and does not compromise your comfort one bit. Lastly, we really appreciated the location near the Amalienborg Palace and Nyhaven, great for just walking about and taking in the sites. I could not recommend this hotel more and it was worth every one of the 130GBP we paid. We will be back.

Room Tip: We asked for a quiet room and faced the back of the hotel where we overlooked a courtyard. If you w...

Stayed here for 2 nights before leaving on a cruise. Rooms were small by US standards but had good use of space and large, comfortable beds. The public areas were all very cozy and allowed more living space. Location was excellent with access to Metro and park. And they had bikes for rent which in good weather is a great way to see Copenhagen. We would definitely come back again.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have less street noise.

We had the pleasure of a quick 2 night stay at Babette Guldsmeden in May 2014. We were in a larger room that would probably be classified as a Jr. Suite at most hotels. The room was clean and decorated in Balinese type furniture. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed (it even had heated floors!). The only downside is that the hotel does not have air conditioning and it was a little warm in our room during the day. We opened windows at night and that helped, but the noise can get a little loud in the morning with all the activity outside.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We enjoyed some wine at the tables outside overlooking the park. It was a great way to relax after a day of walking around Copenhagen. We also had a delicious room service dinner. The sandwiches were tasty, and the steak was cooked to perfection. If we had to find a couple negative aspects, it would be the lack of air conditioning which could be a problem if it's a hot summer, and the price of the breakfast was just a little too steep in our opinion. I know Copenhagen is expensive, but US$50 per person seemed a little high for breakfast. Other than that, we highly recommend Babette.

Spent a week here on a work assignment . The hotel was newly renovated and released and is worth every penny . The hotel is proud to be 90-100% organic and as far as I could see they were keeping their word !

The rooms are quite small but this is quite common for the hotels in Copenhagen.

You can walk to the nearest metro/train stations or you can rent a bike directly from the hotel . On beautifull weather you can choose to walk to city center as on each street you will find a historical attraction

We just left the hotel yesterday (May 18) and enjoyed our stay a great deal. Stayed 3 nights and would highly recommend this hotel. Its very well located, very close to a train station and short walk from the metro. Food was good, loved the breakfasts, but like everything in this city, pretty expensive. Staff was very pleasant and always happy to assist. Rooms were comfortable and well sized (albeit they could use a little more lighting in the rooms). Its a new hotel and the decorations and art work very smart. The rooftop spa wasn't completed, so I cannot comment about that but it appeared to be a nice amenity. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Another bonus is that all of the food is organic. All in all, Great Place.

Room Tip: NOTE: there is no fitness center but I was unable to change my selection on line.

I've stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. It was my first coming to Copenhagen and I really enjoyed this trip. The hotel is situated in 15-20 minutes drive from the Carstrup Airport and 5-7 minutes walk from Nyhavn and Amalienborg Palace. You can get to most of the places of interest on foot. Besides you can take a bike or go by bus (the bus stop is near the hotel). There's a charming park just oposite the hotel, so you can have a walk there during the day, in early mornings or at the sunset.
The hotel itself is new, very cosy, clean, colorful and convinient. Thanks a lot to the staff, they are all very nice and friendly, helpful people!
Though the breakfast was quite expencive, I've enjoyed is as well.
For sure, during my next visit to this wonderful city, I'll prefer to stay here!
