This hotel is not a bad hotel but it also is not a 5 star hotel.
As an experience traveler I have a fair understanding of what should be expected from a 5 star hotel. The rooms, view and pool are all very good. In fact my partner couldn't get enough of the pool.
However, the customer service needs work. On arrival to any hotel you expect a briefing of hotel facilities and food arrangement, however the lady behind reception looked confused and like she really work there. When we arrived our rooms weren't ready even though we arrived 2 hours after check in. When we asked how long it would be before our rooms were ready the lady shrugged her shoulders. I couldn't believe it. Secondly our second should have been 2 single bed but we got a double bed by this stage we so unhappy with the reception service we didn't bother to waste time changing the room.
The cafe by the pool had much better service but whenever we ordered something we were told it was no longer available and that there was a delivery soon. There was never any delivery or fresh orange juice or smoothies or Turkish pizza. Basically a lack of stock.
The restaurant food was fair, again not what's expected of a five star hotel, but I was never unhappy. The one problem I had was the fact that we needed to pay for water. In addition we weren't allowed water from out side the hotel which meant that we spent a lot of money trying to keep hydrated. Here customer service was adequate sometimes sloppy. We'd order drinks and they arrive after we'd finished our meals.
House keeping was another issue. Earlier reviews I think pretty cover this.
Nuhet was the woman in charge of guest relations and she was brilliant. It often seemed she was working too hard to compensate for inefficiency and disorganisation of the rest of the hotel.
I think a sentence to sum up would be the lady frying the eggs was most organised and most smiley person the whole hotel.
Would I return, no. Would I recommend, no.
