I loved it! Lovely fully equipped apartment in a small complex that has a bakery on the site, what more can you want. Nearby beaches and restaurants all within walking distance although I would recommend a car to explore the surrounding areas; fabulous hilltop villages and coastal towns. It was like turning back the clock fifty decades.
We stayed a week in this apartment in May. The apartment was clean and well equipped including a large fridge, freezer, a stove, barbecue and even a washing machine.
The apartment is perfectly situated to spend a day at the beach and explore the region. Places such as stilo, Gerace, Caulonia Old Town, the Aspromonte Mountains and Tropea at a greater distance are easy to visit.
The owner Richard is very welcoming and helpful and does everything to make you have a nice holiday.
We have recently returned from our week long stay at F24 Stignano. In terms of the apartment itself, we found it to be in a great location with access to plenty of towns and facilities. Inside the apartment, we all found it very spacious and extremely ideal for anybody visiting the area. The beds were very comfortable and the washing machine was a god send as we were in Italy for two weeks and moving on to another location in the second week, it meant we didn't have to carry so much clothing. The outside area at the back is great for drying washing on the provided line. The kitchen area was fully kitted out with everything needed for our stay. We felt that the fact it is protected behind an electric gate, can only be a plus in terms of peace of mind, although it is within a peaceful community.
Richard (the owner of this property) was fantastic in every way. He was very helpful prior to our stay with suggestions of places to visit and eat. We have stayed in the vicinity before, but with Richards suggestions, we were able to find and see more of the area. We only wish we could have stayed longer but would definitely stay in this apartment again.
The location is lovely! The apartment is within a small complex. It is extremely well equipped and every room was clean and fresh. The living area is comfortable and the kitchen is well designed. There is a small bakery at the entrance to the complex, it is very useful for breakfast!
This part of Italy, (Calabria) right down in the south, is beautiful. Stignano beach is a short distance and there is a nice restaurant at the Calypso Camping Resort. There are many places to visit, Roccella is a picturesque village with good restaurants and cafes.
We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.
We stayed for 10 days at this lovely apartment in deepest southern Italy. It is fully equipped to a good standard & was left immaculately clean for us. There is even a new washing machine & your clothes can be bone dry in the warm sunshine within minutes.
To sum it up it is a very peaceful & tranquil spot & a short distance from the Ionian coast.
At the entrance to this small private complex of apartments is a family run panificcio (bakery) where you can buy such delicious bread still warm & cakes & many other things.
There are some good restaurants relatively locally & Stignano beach has a good restaurant at the Calypso camping resort & their beach.bar is worth trying too. Other places such as Imbarcadero & the harbour at Roccella are good.
Speedy Pizza restaurant in Roccella is also highly recommended.
I personally would recommend hiring a car from the airport as there are some beautiful places to visit locally such as Stilo, Gerace, Caulonia Old Town, Aspromonte mountains & Badolato to name but a few.
All in all it was a very enjoyable holiday & we both feel very well rested.
