Very well placed in the centre of town, near to shops and station, and a short walk to the lakefront. The building has an interesting history, built at the end of the 19thC as a theatre by the "goodfellows" order; it still has a working auditorium which our party used for dinner. The rooms are, not surprisingly, old fashioned and rather small, but were clean and they had everything needed. Staff were particularly friendly and helpful and the evening meal and breakfast buffet were good.
I believe it is now a protected historic building and unique as a theatre\hotel in the country. Quirky and makes a pleasant change from mudern uniformity.

Nice hotel located in adapted old theatre building. This hotel is just in the centre of Ostersund, 200m from main street.
Unfortunately, rooms are really small and heating system with noisy ventilation.

The hotel is in the centre of the city and close to shops and restaurants. We reached late in the evening and there was light snowing. We checked in quickly and went to bed. The rooms are smallish, but bed was comfortable. A search for an electrical adapter for Indian appliances proved futile. The breakfast buffet spread was good. There is a Bangladeshi restaurant close by and food there was also tasty. Overall a decent stay

Great location in the center of town. Easy walk to shops and restaurant. Room was small but clean and staff was very nice and helpful. Great breakfast in the morning. Was there for three nights. Room was very very small but warm enough and I was on my own. No frills but very clean and perfect for my needs. Also had free wifi which worked great in the room.

Room Tip: Great for a night or two no frills but perfect for business travel.

As its name suggests, this is a charming old theatre that has been converted to a hotel. The dining room is the former auditorium in which a few tables sit rather forlornly. My room on the second floor was reached via twisting corridors which felt a bit drab. It was quite small but useable, including the shower if one went in sideways. Breakfast buffet wss good and evening meal too, although service wss slow and staff rather distant. The building is not really a success as a hotel, but would hsve been outstanding if restored as a theatre. It is well located as a base for exploring, this interesting small town.
