We stayed in the beautiful self catering Keepers Cottage.Wonderful tranquil location yet not too far away from National Trust houses and lots of wonderful walks,a really unique location.Hope to stay again as it was perfect.

Thank you again for taking the time to review our Self Catering cottage and we are delighted you enjoyed your time there. When we converted the old building which had for most of my life been a log store and had previosly housed pigs we set out to put back the charactor that must have been there when it was first built. With that in mind we replaced the old oak beams, and put in oak panneling and the four poster bed.and so it is a great pleasure to have had so many contented guests.Long may it continue.
Thank you very much indeed.
Chris and Margaret..

Spent 2 lovely nights in this wounderful Farm House as we were taking our teenage daughters to nearby Alton Towers. Even though I had read all the great reviews on trip advisor I was still amazed at the beauty of the Farm House and gardens. Chris & Margaret, if I may use a quote by serndipityS9, are special people. They were there if we needed anything, directions mainly as everything else was already catered for. If you want to stay in a modern hotel with little or no individuality this is not the place for you but if you wanted to be treated to something special then I highly recommend you stay at the Manor House Farm. They have certainly got more x factor than anything Simon Cowell has ever produced. Thank you Chris & Margaret for a lovely stay at your home and we hope the calf is doing OK.

Hi to you all.
Firstly.Yes the calf has been doing very well.He and his mum are safely out in the fields and enjoying the sunshine, although i probably think the calf would prefer it abit cooler.
We are delighted you all enjoyed your stay with us as much as you did and thank you very much for both choosing both to stay with us and also for taking the time to write such a complementary review. Not quite sure about more X Factor than Simon Cowell but it is a great thought.!!
Thanks again and Best wishes Chris and Margaret.

My family had a wonderful weekend here. Chris and Margaret are special people and made us very welcome without being at all intrusive. It was a relaxing and fantastic respite from 2 full days at Alton Towers. Stunning gardens with lots of places to explore or sit quietly and enjoy the tranquility. The house is a wonderful experience, like a time capsule but with all the mod cons and extra details which made it all the more homely. (like a fridge with real milk, juice and biscuits). Thank you.

Room Tip: The family room is friendly, comfortable and good value

We are delighted to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us and thank you very much for the very kind review.
It is also very pleasing to hear that you found the little extras to your liking.I personally can`t stand milk portions and feel that fresh milk is essential in the rooms. The gardens always seem to go down well with families as there is plenty of chance for both sides to hide from each other!.
Thanks again and we look forward to your return when the likes of OBLIVION SMILER and NEMESIS call you back to Alton Towers

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our property and for your kind words. We are particularly pleased that you enjoyed the gardens .Since my daughter has opened her tea room we have been trying to keep on top of the gardens as during all the nice weather we have had of late people have been taking their tea in them.
We can always see what needs doing but luckily most guests seem to see what has been done!.
Thanks again Chris and Margaret

This B&B is fantastic, it is truly stunning with it's amazing character rooms and beautiful gardens. Chris and Margaret were the perfect hosts and they made us feel so welcome and were extremely helpful. We have just stayed there for our wedding anniversary and we will definitely go back whenever we get the opportunity. If you want a peaceful break away with all the home comforts, in beautiful surroundings, then this is the B&B to stay! (I'm sure we will be going back with the children too at some point as it is so close to Alton Towers, but without the traffic!)
We can't wait to go back! Very happy memories. Thank you so much for a perfect weekend away, Katie & Graham

Hi to you both.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We keep hearing that Margaret and I are very friendly people but it is only because we get such great guests staying with us.I know i am repeating myself but if you want to improve your opinion of people.Do Bed and Breakfast.
Thank you both very much and we look forward to your return.
Best wishes Chris

We had already stayed at Manor House Farm for b&b which was fabulous and were delighted to get the opportunity to stay at Keeper's Cottage. The situation of the cottage is so peaceful and relaxing and is set in beautiful grounds which we were able to enjoy in the sun last week. If you are looking for real character do not miss the opportunity enjoy the beautiful farmhouse with its amazing furnishings and a wonderful breakfast provided by Margaret and Chris who are the most welcoming of hosts or book early for Keeper's Cottage as it is always busy!! Thank you both for a great break.

Dear Bev and Martin
Late as usual in replying but none the less sincere in our thanks for your kindness in writing such an excellent review. As i have said before it is always great to get feed back on our self catering cottage. In the B/B we get the chance to chat with our guests and as you know many return on numerous occasions but when guests are in the self catering we quite often see very little of them and so it is always very pleasing to hear that everything has been to your liking.
Thanks alot and we hope to see you both at some stage in the future.
Yours Chris and Margaret

my boyfriend and I returned for another stay at Manor House Farm with Chris and Margaret. Honestly, it feels more like a home away from home than a b&b such is the warm welcome our hosts extend to us. The accommodation is exceptional- if you love real character and attention to almost every detail you can think of. Which we do! We were also pleased to see that 'our' room had had a new bathroom installed since last time we stayed- seriously fab shower. This is a real gem and we will be returning again and again and bringing our parents!

Dear Eimear.
It was truly great to have you both staying with us again and i hope your rib has recovered by now.and you are able to get back to the running. You were clearly in pain when you were with us.
We are very pleased you both liked the new Shower Room. As you know the job of replacing it had got slightly out of control !! But well worth it if you were pleased with it. I personally view showers with a certain amount of suspicion, and so complements are all very well received.
We look forward to your next visit and it will be great if your parents can also come along.
Thanks again.Yours Chris and Margaret.
