My girlfriend and I have just returned from a two night stay at Exmoor B&B and could not fault a thing. John was a great host who was very welcoming and the room was comfortable and well equipped. We headed to Alton Towers on our first day, the drive took under 10 minutes! On our second day we decided to head to the shops, I would recommend Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet if you like shopping.

We would most definitely return to this B&B.

Room Tip: The bathroom was separate from the bedroom but this really isn't a problem.

We stayed here for two nights whilst going to alton towers. It was brilliant so friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. They even offered to dry our towels that were wet from the rides. The rooms were lovely and clean and the bed were comfy and warm. We had a little list of pales for us to go and have dinner and milk, water ect in the fridge in the room. So lovely and friendly will definatley stay here again when we go to alton towers next.

This was a romantic getaway to Alton Towers, only to find that the day before was the closing day...oops! We thought we would be really bored in a rural area, but it was actually pretty good! The B&B is lovely in a gorgeous setting with amazing views. We were welcomed by the husband who gave us tea and biscuits while he made our bed.

This is essentially a room within these peoples' house. The owners were great. They gave us high visibility jackets and torches and even asked their friend to give us a lift to the pub!

The room was impeccable and warm, with nice touches. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and tidy and smelt good. The bathroom had a good shower and all products were available.

The owners left us board games, maps, information guides and left us notes asking what time we wanted breakfast in the morning :) For breakfast you can have pretty much anything you like. Full English, variety of jams and cereal, juice, tea or coffee, as seen in my picture.

There are pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area, but I'd get a taxi if you're not driving (I'd drive, it's a mistake that we didn't).

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night whilst attending a local function. We arrived earlier than planned, but just wanted to drop the car off and explore the local area. John and Myfanwy were most welcoming (although not quite ready for us...........) and showed us around their beautiful home. They have 2 guest rooms, both were absolutely immaculate. The views from both rooms were stunning. John gave us directions to the local pub, going the scenic route. This took us slightly longer than planned, as we took a wrong turn somewhere, so our 25 minute walk ended up taking 3 hours! We took in all the sights along the way, the weather was great and we had nowhere we needed to be until later in the evening, so the additional time spent walking was not an issue at all. When we finally arrived back at the b&b, we all had a really good laugh about it. John offered to take us to our do in the evening (and also to pick us up at the end) but we decided to walk. Myfanwy made sure we had a torch with us and also a high vis vest to ensure we were easily seen on the local road - thank you! Breakfast was probably one of the nicest we've ever had in a b&b. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble.

If you are looking for a homely stay within easy walking distance of Alton Towers, you cannot go wrong with this b&b. We would certainly recommend it.

Thank you for a lovely stay and good luck with the chalet room.

We chose to stay at this B&B due to its close location to Alton Towers, under a 10 minute drive. Late arrival after the theme park closed was not a problem & despite arriving at 10pm the owner was there to greet us & show us to our room. Our warm & cosy bedroom was a self-contained loft conversion with en suite bath & separate toilet & it really was a sight for sore eyes after queuing for rides in the cold at Alton Towers all day. Very peaceful & relaxing situated in countryside surrounded by fields. Delicious breakfast & friendly owners who suggested local places to visit which were thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended!
