My wife and three kids are just about to leave this excellent place. The room Elizabeth is massive 2 double beds and 2 single beds, very comfortable. There is a separate toilet and wetroom. There is a play station 2 and DVD in the living room to keep the kids entertained. The kitchen is stocked every day with high quality breakfast ingredients to cook at your leisure. Loads of other cereals, biscuits etc as well. This is a home from home and we will definitely be back soon. Place is spotless. Great place to visit Alton towers. Owners friendly. Hot tub great. Only downside is we have to leave, kids want to stay if only!! Highly recommended.

Thank you so much for your report. It was great to have you and the family stay with us. We are glad you enjoyed the food, sourced from the local Farm shop. The hot tub has been a great success this year even in the hot weather! Looking forward to welcoming you back again .

Stayed for 1 night 23/06/2014 whilst visitng Alton Towers. Only 10 mins away so perfect location. Cannot recommend highly enough. Lovely welcome greeting & felt at home immediately. Stayed in Rebecca Suite. Nice n cozy & spotless, very comfy bed. Great idea having the freedom to cook brekkies ourselves at our leisure & stocked fridge with local produce, bacon, eggs, sausages etc & nice littles extras too, cereals, yoghurts, cheeses, fresh fruit, pastries, Tea, coffee in abundance & fresh milk & bread. When you've finished just load up & turn on the dishwasher. The hot tub & sauna were icing on the cake. The Staffordshire Way Path runs alongside & is a lovely place to walk off the breakfast the next morning. Can also recommend The Tavern Pub a short stroll away, very nice atmosphere. I believe they do great food but we did not get to try as was quiz night & no food on Mondays. Looking forward to our next stay when visiting the area again. 10/10

Thank you for your comments, it's good to hear you had a relaxing break. The updated rooms have certainly proved popular this year and are easier to maintain. It's good to hear you walked along the disused railway line, which runs adjacent to Heywood Hall. It is a beautiful walk along the Staffordshire way .

Looking forward to welcoming you back again .

Kind regards

Really lovely b&b where you get your own suite which is wonderfully decorated. The owners are really friendly and provide tasty and plentiful ingredients for you to make your own breakfast in the full size kitchen within the suite. An excellent base for exploring the area and very close to Alton Towers in particular. Cannot recommend highly enough.

What a fantastic place! Our room (Elizabeth Suite) was very well furnished and very well equipped with a lovely good size kitchen and very clean, modern and spacious shower room and toilet. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was lots of space for two adults and three or four children. The fridge was very well stocked with breakfast things which were good quality and locally produced, and plenty of other extras in the cupboard. The location is ideal - only a couple of miles to Alton Towers, yet in a quiet village, although there were plenty of pubs/restaurants not too far away. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning again - it would also be a good base to explore Derbyshire.
