Just returned from a business trip held at this hotel. It has excellent conference facilities and free WiFi which was great and I would recommend hotel for a conference (very comfortable chairs in the lecture theatre) but I would not recommend for a relaxing holiday stay mainly because I didn't get a good nights sleep in 5 days as the beds were so uncomfortable. Sounds silly but with long days at the conference and organised trips I really needed to get plently of sleep and came back exhausted from my stay. The pillows are wafer thin and are feather, so there was no support for your neck/head no matter how many you used. I recommend using the cushions from the sofa it helps a little. The beds themselves were extremely soft giving no support for the back and very small even for a single plus without air conditioning the rooms were extremely stuffy and warm but opening the window only made the noise coming from the foyer worse. Depending where your room is in the hotel noise will carry from the foyer/bar area especially if you are staying in one of the rooms which overlooks this area. Even on the second floor we decided after the first night that there was no point going to bed before the bar or disco finished. Good points about the room were the showers in the bathroom were fantastic very good water pressure, great for washing long hair and the bath was very nice. The breakfast provided with the conference package was by far the best meal of the day for me and there was lots of choice, with a variety of tea's, juice, cakes and pastries, cooked, fruit, cold meats and cheeses, pancakes and breads and special areas such as one devoted to allergy free food stuffs. Lunch and dinner although nice on the first day or two really didn't change much over the rest of the conference- always a meat option and then one or two fish dishes and the same type of salad options every day. If you don't eat/like fish, go for the veggie option as these looked very nice and avoided the onslaught of fish at every meal plus they were brought to you so no fighting in the buffet queues. Do try the swedish meatballs and the desserts as these were very nice. The themed nights in the restaurant were definitely the best. The tea breaks for the conference provided very good cakes. As mentioned on many reviews the decor is dated in this hotel but I liked it- very kitsch. Also just to mention here that the reception staff are very helpful and friendly. Lastly, the hotel is situated away from Lund centre. There is a bus service going twice an hour but be warned that on saturdays the bus service stops early so after 5pm you must walk or get a taxi into town. Do visit Lund it is very nice and there are lots of bars and cafes although in the summer is very quiet.
