I booked this hotel through their website and it was a lot cheaper than expedia.
The location is perfect just across the road from the bus/central station (the bus from the airport leaves you across the street from the hotel) with easy access for the train to Copenhagen (the same train also stops at the airport in Copenhagen if you are traveling from there)
Malmo is not very big and I just walked everywhere - city center, turning torso, etc
Staff at reception were great and the check in was done in minutes.
I stayed in the 3rd floor and the room (single room) was good, spacious and a really nice shower but the problem was that the room was by the side of the hotel with just a narrow street between my windows and the office building next door so I could see everybody in that building and so could they see my room....
Free Wi-Fi was great
My only problem at my stay was with the housekeeping staff.... For some reason they think is ok to enter the room without knocking late afternoon after the room was already cleaned....

I have stayed at the Elite Residens quite a few times over the years for a conference.

The rooms tend to always be very hot in the summer months as there's no air conditioning. Also, the beds are quite narrow and the pillows quite worn out, so I've never had a really great sleep here.

So the room is bare bones, but it's okay. There's a sizeable closet for clothes, but space is at a premium in the bath rooms. Strangely, at least in my room's shower, there was no holder for the shampoo and washing gel bottles?!

That sounds a bit negative so I do have to say that the staff has always been great, the hotel's breakfast buffet is excellent and the location is really superb. The Elite Residens is across the centrail railway station, but on a side street, so it's quiet, yet it's right next to the many squares of Malmö and lots of restaurants.

We went as a family not sure of what to expect. At the end of the stay, we loved it. It is really close to the bus/coach and train station. (We got off the Coach from Sturup Airport). The self contained rooms were large enough for us four. Breakfast was also good. The staff were professional, attentive and pleasant.
The cons: The place looks a bit dated but its not a problem, it all works. There was a cock-up with the online site (Trivago) we booked with. There was no way on the site we could indicate we had children with us, so we booked a double room and had to pay a little bit extra for the children upon arrival. Overall, it was a good experience we had. The kids loved the place. I would certainly recommend the place and would return again.

The hotel is perfectly located across from the main train/bus station. The bus from Malmo airport drops you off in front of the hotel and you have easy access to the train station. The room was nice with plenty of room and the free wi-fi worked great. We were traveling with an infant and they recommended a larger room but it wasn’t necessary. Some rooms are along a busy road so we asked not to be in one of those rooms. Breakfast was ok; it had everything you needed to start the day. The best part of breakfast was their selection of fresh fruits. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Copenhagen, Malmo, or Lund.

The hotel is very near the central station, I arrived on a Sunday evening and it felt like the hotel was almost empty. Very efficient recpetionnist, I was checked-in in a minute to a room in the upper stairs. The reception insisted heavily that I ate at the Savoy's hotel restaurant Café rasoir but i declined in favour of the much cheaper May Sen thaï restaurant.

The room itself was nice with wooden furniture and modern appliances. It was a single bed which proved to be comfortable. The only downside was a lousy hairdryer that looked like an old yellow ventilation pipe. The breakfast buffet was taken at the nearby Savoy hotel in a nice setting. I enjoyed the fair choice of Swedish specialities!

The room was 850 SEK including breakfast, the price is much steeper during week nights.

If you are coming with the bus from Malmo Airport, the hotel is located just 50meters from the final bus stop. It is also the same stop that you will take the bus back to the airport.
The hotel is classic design with lots of history and character. Its not modern so if you dont like classic hotels you will not like it. I found it very interesting and pleasant. The room is very descent with nice renovated bathroom. Staff is very polite and helpful. When i called reception from the room, stating that the hotel was quite noisy due to the lift, they offered immediately to change my room and then they gave me one at the end of the corridor which was very quite. Breakfast was very good. You get everything that you would expect from a decent buffet breakfast. The great thing is that you get late check out on Sundays (6pm). To summarise. Great location, friendly and attentive staff, decent rooms and good value. Would stay there again. Recommended.

Stayed in the Elite Hotel Residens for a one night business stop-over and it was spot on. Very convenient as it is only 2 minutes walk from Malmo central railway station.
The room was clean and confortable with a good bathroom and the staff friendly and welcoming. Only had a small bar next to the lobby / reception, but enjoyed an evening beer there watching some footy.

As a separate observation, we can only dream in England of having a railway system like the Swedes / Danes!
