The reason I did not give top marks all round is because the hotel is obviously not a 5-star, but I found the online booking, reception service and room standard always very good.
I have actually stayed in the hotel during June through to September, and due to unforeseen circumstances I am staying there as I write this !
If you are a frequent traveller then it pays to get an Ibis Card, giving you a free night's stay after so many paid nights (plus free coffee should you need it!).
The staff were always friendly and helpful, I recall Olof and Patrik (?), and I was able to use the hotel "fitness room" and sauna if I asked a little beforehand.
The food: breakfast, takeaway breakfast, and evening meal are good value, though beer is at typical Swedish prices !!
There is a hotel Wifi which you can either pay for online, or use your partner code if your mobile contract supports it (eg. Telia Homerun).
Rooms are fairly basic but comfortable - wardrobe, desk / table (fine for working with laptop, 3 spare mains sockets and one bedside socket), chair, double bed, sofa which could double as another single bed, large windows: floors 7,8,9 have good views and you can see the Bridge and Torso from the top on the West side.
The mattresses are about 25 cm thick comprising a firm base with softer top layer, so reasonably comfy.
All the rooms have an ensuite shower/sink/loo which is clean and functional. A couple of times there was a slight niff from the sink which probably means the trap needed maintenance but they offered to swap my room if I wanted so should not be an issue.
20"TV has several channels and a few Nordic radio channels (they are looking into getting BBC World Service on radio too), TV has a computer video input if required.
There is a Co-op store nearby open till 10 pm for some essentials, also it has a bank ATM. There is also the Mobilia shopping "mall" just down the road too, this is open till 8pm weekdays and has Espresso Coffee and McDonalds too.
The hotel should publicise on its web page the bus connections for the hotel, which involve the Mobilia bus stop less than 10 minutes down the road if pulling luggage (or "a block and a half" in American !).
There, the number 7 bus (N- and S-bound stops across the road from each other) gives connection to Malmö Syd (Svågertorp) rail station going south, and Malmö Central going north. (Yes, if your rail ticket specifies Malmö C, you can use it on the 7 bus to Mobilia ! and back on the return trip to Kastrup). Have not checked about the new Tunnel stations.
Or a 20 minute walk through the hospital site takes you to the main bus station and office at Södervärn, another important hub if using public transport, look into getting a Jojo travel card if using the bus regularly, you can get the 169 or SkaneExpress to Lund from there.
In warmer weather if you have the time it's a pleasant walk into town via Pildammspark into the Triangeln shopping area of town.
There is also a private outside seating area with tables and childrens' area at the back, again for use in warmer weather.
During the summer, the hotel offers discounted prices via the website (only), however these seem to be absent during the winter season so unfortunately I do not stay there regularly since I have to pay my own accommodation bills. The price is not bad for a day or so, but for extended stays the cost adds up even so.
