Nice "basic" Scandic hotel. Spacious room, designed furniture, efficiently designed. Nothing much too blame. I cam elate and the parking was full but there is nearby a free parking up to 9 am so it was no problem.

Check in and check out very efficient. Only negative s the breakfast with very limited options.

Stayed two nights at the Scandic Karlskrona for a wedding in Karlskrona. Checked in at 22.30, which was fast and efficient, late arrival was not a problem.

Room:
Had a room with 2 single beds, put together as one king size bed. Very comfortable beds, which was medium hard. Each bed had one normal pillow available and one extra small pillow for support. No extra pillows available in the room. Blankets was thick and warm (which is needed if the temperature is put down low on the thermostat).

Storage space in the room was limited, no closets to put clothes in, just a set of hangers and hooks.

Outlets for charging both at bedside and around the TV area (which had a good bench underneath).

Good selection of TV channels which also included a couple of premium TV channels for more movie entertainment.

Bathroom was nice and tidy with shampoo, soap and shower gel from mounted containers in the shower/tub and around the sinks. The tub/shower had a tendency to leak water out on the floor so watch out for puddles forming. No extra floor towel was given to avoid stepping in any excess water. (Even though it should be accessible, saw it on the cleaners trolley).

Breakfast:
Nice breakfast, with a good selection of breads and buns, crispy bacon, good scramble eggs(for us which likes a dryer more egg taste variant of scramble), sausages and other kinds of eggs.

Three kinds of hard cheese to put on the sandwich , pepper salami sausage, different marmalade and nutella.

Ready made pancakes with whipped cream and strawberry jam was also available.

A separate table for cereal, which was corn flakes, fiber flakes, some other different nuts and fibers, together with sour milks, milk and yogurts, and then one table with fresh fruits , crackers and cheese. (All cereal was of the not so known organic brands but tasted good anyway).

Drinks consisted of orange juice (very good) , apple juice and multi vitamin drinks and then brewed coffee or specialty coffee (espresso based coffee that is) from two different machines.

Snacks:
Cinnamon muffins/bun with coffee are available through out the whole day. And they taste very nice.

Check out was nice and efficient too.

Room Tip: View over the city is not bad, but the view over the bay might be prettier.

Like most hotels in Sweden, Scandic Karlskrona is clean, with friendly staff. Breakfast is good but not fantastic, dinner options are great. But you wouldn't spend all your day in the hotel when visiting a beautiful city like Karlskrona, would you...?

We had bought a week-end package including two-course dinner and breakfast. All by Swedish standards at a very reasonable price.
On arrival our reservation was handled very fast and professionally. All in all staff seemed generally very Young, professional and efficient. Average-size room. Comfortable beds. But very inconvenient and Ikea-style furniture. Not much room to move around. Room probably perfect for one person. Functional bathroom. Scandic hotels are generally aiming at the business-traveller market and the conderence market. Not at the 'Family market'. Rush hour at the restaurant occured at the same time every morning at around 9, and staff had difficulties clearing tables fast enough.
Free parking at 100 m from hotel.

Room Tip: Make sure to get a room at sea-side.

A modern, clean and comfortable hotel in a great location; within walking distance of the main features of the town, but far enough away to be very quiet at night. The breakfast buffet is terrific, and you should give yourself enough time to enjoy it.
Best place in town for dinner was the atmospheric pub the "Fox and Anchor" up off the market square, takes about seven minutes to walk there from the hotel.
Be warned the taxi ride from the nearest airport at Ronneby was about 500 krona, so that was a shock.
Tour boats go from just adjacent to the hotel, but ask where they go and where you might be able to get off and look about; I just got whisked about the harbour and couldn't get off, but it was a still a pleasant two hours.

Room Tip: All the rooms have nice views.

My husband and I recently stayed at this property and had a really nice experience. Our first room had a problem with the lights so a staff member immediately came and switched us to another room on the same floor with the same lovely view of the water (she was very nice and helped us very quickly). Our room was a "Superior Extra" with nice comfy beds and great feeling bedding, free wifi, a private bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo (beware, the tub felt a little high and could be tricky to get out of for some), a room safe, a kettle with coffee/tea, bathrobes and body and shower products from the Face (a Stockholm brand) plus we also received a SEK 50 Superior Extra voucher to use in the hotel's restaurant or shop because we booked this room. My favorite things about this Scandic? Staff, clean room, great view and oh, so comfy a bed. The breakfast was also very good with many choices. This wasn't the most elegant room we have ever been in, but I enjoyed it much more than some pricier hotels!

Room Tip: higher floors, view of the water!

Perfect location with beautiful views. We only stayed 1 night but our family of 5 slept well in one room with the addition of 2 roll away beds (very cozy). The breakfast buffet that was included with the room and was the best we have ever had! Could not have asked for a better deal or service. We highly recommend staying here.
