Stayed at this hotel one night when we were passing through Jönköping. OK room with balcony, flatscreen TV, the extra bed (a small fold-up sofa) was rock hard with ribs that cut into the back, very very uncomfortable. The two single beds pushed together were comfortable.OK bathroom with clogged drain in the basin. Nothing much in the neighbourhood but only a short ride by car to the centre of Jönköping. Overall, dated rooms but OK for one night if you don't need the extra bed, then it is agony.

Great location. Also connected next door to swimming / playarea (extra fee).
Good for families. We stayed in old part (very dated), but they are building / adding on a new section. We ate at the restaurant (good with kids) and went next door swimming (excellent).
We also took a nice stroll/hike along the shore line.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again. If they/when they update the interior, I would consider this an excellent or very good place to stay and not just average.

This hotel is easily reached from the highway E4. The hotel underwent a huge remodelling when we stayed there, but was never the less good. The hotell is situated outside the city center; close to the lake Vättern with a breathtaking walk with great scenery nearby. The hotell is also close to an indoor/outdoor adventure pool area, which is fabulous!

I stayed here with my husband and 1-year old son. The room was a floor down on the lower level, but worked fine. The crib was good, the room became a little cramped though. The beds were nice, and there was a sofa in the room too. There was a water kettle on a desk, but no refridgerator. The bathroom was clean, a little bit small though, and no tub, only shower and the floor became rather wet after a shower. The hairdrier was very effective.

The staff at the front desk was friendly and the check in easy.

The breakfast scene was busy but it worked fine. There were MANY baby seats so it was easy to seat our son next to us when we ate. The buffet consisted of many different cereals, youghurts, bread, cheese, cold cuts, hot items as bacon and egg, fresh fruit and vegetables, and WAFFLES for you to make on your own :)

All in all, I can recommend this hotel, it is a good option for families!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not on the ground floor next to the parking lot.

We stayded at the hotel Scandic Elmia with kids and got a room from the groud floor from the farest corner ever (a long walk from the reseption and restorant exc, with small kids that is not nive experience). Service was also quite poor also. We only had few questions for the staff at the reseption, but did not get service/answer any of those.

I stayed here during a swimming competition in summertime 2013. It is very worn down but the beds are Ok. Not more than that. The breakfast had everything you could wish for and was fresh. They are renovating at the moment so I think it will be in good shape soon. Since it is summer and the old rooms don't have air conditioning it is very warm.

It is true the rooms are very old. It is very far away from the centre. However it is as with most scandics very clean with very friendly staff and not a hardship to stay at. Looking forward to the new modern extension which should be opening very soon.

Scnadic Elmia has a really nice staff. Our check in was nice and the extra help was given when needed. Room for 4 people was very small but did what we were expecting. Breakfast was very nice with lot of options. Room fare was very reasonable for 4 persons.

If you're up to the fairs or the ice hockey, it's fine. Otherwise it's far from the centre and you need to use taxi.

We were happy after all.

There is also Spa for the extra money. It was nice also after exhausting evening and the night :)
