Nice woodland, not too 'perfect' i.e. no man made footpaths etc. Dog walkers are considerate and saw only a couple of 'poos' but on the whole a very clean wood. Could do with being a bit more clearly marked out - as in walks, distance, estimate walking time etc. There is also a good park near the car park for children to play in. The car park is well laid out with ample parking. Toilets here too which are very clean. Great mobile catering van locted by the car park which is reasonable in price and very welcome after a walk. Do great bacon butties, baps, hot chocolates and loads of other things - crisps, chocolates, ice creams etc. We spent an hour or so here walking a smallish dog with 2 young children and everyone had a great time. We invented games for them to play - i.e. they had to spot 3 things (squirrel, conker and something interesting) and they got a treat if they did. if going during the week - there is a small charge for parking. free on saturdays, sundays and bank holidays. Whilst paths are not man made we did see someone on a mobility scooter charging around and parents with buggies so don't be put off if you have either of these.
