Whether it's because of the location in tourist hot-spot Djurgården, that it is owned and run by a large hotel chain (Scandic), or that it is sharing its taxi stand with one of the most coach travel intense theatres we have in Stockholm (Cirkus) I don’t know – but for any or all of these reasons Hasselbacken restaurant is best avoided.
In fact, it feels more like a ferry buffet cantina than a dining place. Most of the staff seems to be work training (one even told me so). Simple questions were answered rudely and despite the vast amount of empty tables, there was more attention paid on paying the tables for the next morning hotrel breakfast than on the few guests present. The food is best described as “poured from a jar or a can” - I wouldn’t dream of returning.
