Helen's B&B is a friendly and very nice refuge. The home is typical swedish with wood on the ground and big windows enough to let sunlight in.Around the home a beautiful garden. The atmosphere is international because Helen(the owner)is a great world's traveller. We advise to go!!!!!

The B&B is not far from the centre of the city, easy to reach by underground (10 min).
We stayed in a twin room with shared bathroom, it was very clean and quiet.
The price include a self service breakfast with bread, cheese, jam, coffe and tea.
Helen is a friendly host and she gave us some usefull advice about what to see and where to try a real swedish food experience.
I can reccomend this B&B to everyone who doesn't want to stay in the centre of the city in an anonymous hotel but prefer to meet local people in a cosy neighbourhood.

Helen is a nice person, kind and hospitable. She is very careful to respect the environment, as generally do the Swedes. The room is simple and comfortable. There is no time to wake up for breakfast because it prepares you, there is a small kitchen with everything you need. The bathroom is small but clean. The bed & breakfast is in a very quiet area, it was a pleasure to stay. We recommend that anyone visiting Stockholm to stay here, it is only 10 minutes from the metro. We send a warm hug to Helen.

I stayed at Helen's for almost 2 weeks and still think about it fondly. If you're looking for great conversation, a friendly atmosphere and an opportunity to discover Stockholm not as a tourist but almost as a local, this is THE place to stay. Helen is an amazing host. When she found out I was taking a Swedish course, she made a point at checking on my progress every day! She even offered that we go out to dinner some night because she was afraid I might feel a little lonely. While respecting your privacy, she's very attentive. She also likes to introduce the guests to one another when she thinks they may have things in common, which provides for even more great conversation. Her place is very conveniently located: nice, safe 7-8 minutes walk to the metro station with a huge supermarket nearby if you want to cook your own meals as I did because I was staying in the studio. It's on the green line which is very convenient to get to Gamla Stan, Sodermalm etc There are chairs and a table in front of the studio for you to relax in your own part of the garden. You can find all kinds of tips from previous guests in books available in the rooms. I spent the first nights of my stay in the twin room inside the house and can testify that you will find everything you need to fix your breakfast in the kitchen. I don't know what happened when Helen had to travel late August but honestly, don't deny yourself the pleasure of staying there and meeting Helen just because of one bad review reporting a bad experience in Helen's absence. I'd go back to Helen's anytime.

Unfortunately Helen was away when we stayed otherwise may have been better. Two Italian girls were managing the property. The place was dirty and the so called breakfast was non-existent! Other guests at same time experienced the same feeling as us. We didnt expect much however this was less than 1 star and backpackers.

The apartment is great. Along with the nearby ICA grocery, the kitchenette allowed us (husband and self) to have some home cooked dinners and save some money in expensive Stockholm. The apartment was private (has its own entrance) and extremely quiet. It is close to the T-bana and to city bus lines. Helen went above and beyond to help us get through small crises while we were there and to give us helpful information. Would definitely stay there again.

I came to Helen's place after 3 weeks of cycling through Sweden. It felt like coming to an oasis - the warm welcome, the lovely garden, the quiet surroundings, the very nice atmosphere, the comfortable room/bed - and last but not least the great personality of Helen herself!
The self-service breakfast (warm rolls, marmalade, cheese, juice, coffee/tea) suited me perfectly, the bathroom/shower is small but very modern and clean. Once I knew my way into the city by bicycle, it was very easy (10-15 min) - and the tube is also nearby. Will definetely come back :-)
