The hotel is located in a residential area and a 15 minute walk to the restaruant area. The restaurants are midling.
There is nothing offensive about the Marriott; rooms are good size and clean. Internet was free for all of our devices. Breakfast was decent but unexciting northern European buffet. But the poor location made us feel trapped in the hotel. It's a 15 minute walk to the subway station, and from there a 15 minute ride to Old Town and city center. But the r/t subway far is USD12 per person, so again, the location is inconvenient. We took a tax to the Vasa Museum near city center and that cost us about USD27 in each direction.
It's a courtyard hotel, so service is minimal. No room service; and one has to buy snacks at the front desk.
If I returned to Stockholm, I would stay at the Radisson Blue instead (if you are a Marriott Rewards member). Its near the old city and although slightly more expensive, you will save money on transportation and food.More
