“Really great hotel”
Reviewed 20 April 2011

I have been there for three nights! And I can just recommend this hotel! Very clean and SUPERfriendly staff, they help you even with impossible. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and free WIFi. And the breakfast was great as well. Are you staying in Stockholm, choose this hotel (it's not in centre but you have great connections to the town!).

I stayed here for two nights at the end of November. Bitterly cold in Stockholm at the time, but hotel was very cosy. As a business traveller it had everything I needed and the staff were very pleasant. It's a bit out from town, but transport is good - and the rate I got was excellent. I can highly recommend! Thanks for looking after me.

The friendliness and support of the staff as a whole and the front desk especially is unmatched. Ms. Joy at the reception was a delight to chat with and is extremely helpful.

I stayed there for one week in February with my wife and got the standard double room. Free high speed internet is included.

The hotel is not located at the center of Stockholm, but can be easily reached by tram and metro and won't take you more than 10 minutes to reach the central station. The front desk recommended that we buy the metro card for 280 SEK/person. It is valid for a week and you can ride all trams and metros -I think buses as well- using it! This is all you will need to spend on transportation there which is an incredible deal.
The hotel is in Hammarby which is a beautiful area and there is a ski slope right behind the hotel. You will see many people parking their cars close to the hotel and grabbing their ski equipment and heading to the slope.

The rooms are spacious enough and climate controlled. My only issue was that sometimes we could smell a weird smell in the bathroom but its nothing too strong or lasting to spoil the stay.

The RBG Bar & Grill in the lobby is a very good place for excellent food and relaxing atmosphere. Try the mash potatoes there, you won't be sorry.

The breakfast is kind of limited but is good enough if you want a quick breakfast before you head out.

Even though Sweden is quite a trip from my home country I will definitely be going there again and staying at this hotel.

I chose this hotel after seeing it high in the Top 10 for Stockholm, at a decent price. I actually needed the Southern location, so that worked for me too.

I had forgotten that I'd stayed in a Park Inn before, just off the M54 in Telford. So... compare this one to that (which was £49 a night), and you can see why this is rated so highly! There were similarities... the spartan decor, the help/serve-yourself ethos, the warm, comfortable bed... There are also differences - the modern, multi-story building, the nearby inner-city outdoor Ski Slope!, and the really friendly staff.

So... the Park Inn brand is basically a Travel-Tavern budget brand for the Radisson chain. If you bear that in mind, this hotel is exceptionally good. But if you compare it to every hotel in Stockholm, including the full-price Radissons, etc, then it couldn't really be in the Top 10.

The pros for this hotel? Well, the location is OK - it's just 'out of town', but it's true that it is quiet, and you can walk down to the tram, which then takes you to the metro. The staff are indeed friendly and helpful, much more than you'd expect for a budget brand. And the building is modern. I certainly didn't mind staying here.

The cons? Budget chain cost-cutting features such as the jumbo-Dove-shower/shampoo/soap dispenser attached to the wall, is something you wouldn't get in a 4* hotel. But others, such as collecting your meal yourself to save the ~£5 room service fee, would help if you're traveling on your own budget.

The food itself was variable... it's a long time back now, but I remember an incredibly salty soup. It was sometimes good, but occasionally of a quality that would make you think twice about ordering room service again. They need to improve on that. There are a few restaurants in the completely modern development just down the road, which seemed OK.

The internet (always important) was not bad at all. I got 20Mbps downstream in my hotel room late at night, which is the fastest I've ever seen in a hotel. It might be slower when everyone else is using it.

The gym... isn't so good. A stepper, a rower, a treadmill, a bike... all of a budget 'at home' brand, all broken in some way. You can't count this as a serious gym for maintaining your workouts, and unfortunately they don't seem to have the space for any other machines (the rest of the area is dual-use as a reception room). Still: bring some ski clothes in Winter, and use the ski slope just 5 minutes' walk from the hotel!

For the price I paid, which was around £120, which for Stockholm prices, isn't bad. The staff seemed fresh, and very keen, which is a major factor in liking a place. As long as you don't mind the budget touches, it is admittedly a very good balance of features, location, and price. It does seem to have late availability due to perhaps not being a business choice, so perhaps as a 'backup' hotel for when you have a last minute trip, I would definitely recommend it.

In Nacka for the week, the company has decided to book this new hotel, a little bit farer from the office. But waht a surprise:
- Upgraded at the check-in to a suite room
- Quiet & clean room
- Various & Large breakfast & Dinner menu
- Warm welcome & support at the reception desk.
- Nice & Safe neighborood
Sure, I will be back.

A very comfortable and practical hotel located in newly developed area. Very light materials and all very energy- efficient. Not at all a romantic hotel but a very basic and efficient scandinavian designed hotel. Good size room and fast internet- and it´s free!
Locates in a suburb, but like in the rest of Sweden and Scandinavia very good public transport. The tram stops right outside the hotel, and the stops at the same station as the metro. It takes maximum 15 minutes in total from the city center.
Very much value for money.

We had a wonderful time while at this hotel, the front desk staff was supperb, thanks to apollo @ night time, always greeting everyone with a smile. The hotel has a small bar, but Natalia makes you feel right at home, great drinks and mixes. The restaurant is very lay back and friendly, not so many choices, but good food, once again the staff was on top of things. They all speak several languages and are willing to help you getting directions or making reservations when you need them. The rooms are average in size, no fringe in the room, but with the temperature outside in the 10's f, who needs a fridge. Overall a great experience. Thanks also to the manager on duty, Mr. Klang, who took the time to explain to us about local traditions during x-mas. Well recomended. Hope to come back during the summer.
