I stayed at Hotel Micro during a weekend break. Its a great little place, location is fantastic few minutes walk to all the main attractions, neighbourhood is quiet but very safe, hotel itself is small but extremely clean. The rooms are tiny, just a bunk bed, table n chair, no windows n shared bathroom but being the cheapest options i have no complaints.

Only downside was ppl were banging door starting from 5am onwards. Our room was right next to the toilet (room118) and it was very annoying as all night and morning we kept hearing ppl talking and opening/shuting their bedroom/n the toilet door. Therefore try to get a room as far away from the toilet. Apart from that i would definately recommend this place.

Room Tip: Definately do the hop on off boat tour

As long as you know what you are getting this hotel is perfect. It is a regular hotel upstairs and a hostel downstairs. 3 of us shared 1 room with a double on the bottom and a single above. It was very small and all three of us could not stand at the same time! The fact it was a hotel upstairs gave it a nice feeling on arrival and the staff were helpful - it also had a bar where you could get food. The room was very clean and cleaned every day, the bathroom facilities were also very clean and plenty - I didnt once have to wait. They had hairdryers in the bathroom. There was also a communal room with a large tv on the wall and one sofa. There was a computer upstairs to use free of charge and free wi-fi upstairs. The down side was the lack of windows, which we knew before we arrived - it felt a bit like sleeping in a bunk on a ship - without the movement. Overall if you are looking for a cheap stay in stockholm you cant beat this.

Make sure to be aware that Hotel Micro is BENEATH Hotel Tegnérlunden. You have to check in at the Tegnerlunden desk and then go downstairs to your room.
On the whole our stay was fine although i would call it a hostel rather than a hotel. The rooms are glorified cupboards, small, windowless and quite claustrophobic and lack of air circulation so we would wake up with dry mouths, very hot and would feel horrible in the morning. However the hotel was kept clean and immaculate throughout and this did not effect our stay. The location was brilliant, we would turn a corner and be in the centre of Stockholm (Kulture huset area) all the tourist attractions were within walking distance. We did not bother using transport as nothing was more than a 30/40 minute walk. Old town was about 25 mins, Boat trips from nybroplan 20 mins, Vasa 30 mins, Skansen and Aquarium 30 to 35 mins Sodermalm was the longest walk (maybe an hour) but nice to walk through old town and see lots of Stockholm.
The micro hotel is fine if you are young and don't mind a no frills room. I would worry that the ventilation problem could become unbearable in the summer months though.

Nice rooms, clean, new or recently renovated, warm, but not overheated. The very good thing is free Internet. As for me it was really hard to sleep with no window, but in general I would stay there again.

Hotel Micro was just that..."Micro." My husband and I were desperately searching for a hostel or hotel that was under $100 a night and everything in the area was very expensive. Hotel Micro was about $89 US dollars a night, not bad, but not super cheap compared to what we could get in the US for that same price.

Hotel Mirco is in the basement of another, more expensive hotel. The rooms are very small with literally just room to get dressed, kinda like a glorified closet with no windows, bunk beds, and a very small desk, not even a closet to hang your clothes. All the furniture was from Ikea and was crisp and new. The restrooms are down the hall and divided by gender. Private bathroom and shower stalls and clean. Though this hotel is small (that's the point), it was clean, quiet, and safe since you needed a key card to get into the lobby, rooms, and even the restrooms.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone without children who isn't looking for luxury, but rather just wants the simple basics and is willing to walk to explore downtown Stockholm.

Good value stay in an expensive city. Shared toilet and showers but these were spotlessly clean and the shower cubicles were spacious. Room IS small but there was enough room for the two of us and our (small) cases. Bed comfortable, and while there's no breakfast there is a coffee machine outside.
Staff at reception are very helpful with restaurant suggestions, change for the coffee machine and when we were booking out they kindly offered to hold our luggage.
Was about a 10 minute walk (uphill) from the station.
The rooms are in a basement and without windows which is not be for everyone.

Very simple and clean, a good choice if you only going to stay for one or two nights not spending much time in the room. It is the location you are paying for and it´s very central, no windows in the rooms and no private bath but that doesent matter when it´s so modern and spotless!
I would go there again if I only need a bed for the night.
