Every part of this stay was excellent. Walk from the train to the hotel is about 5 minutes.

The hotel is very new so everything is still spotlessly clean. The room was of a decent size, although definately not palatial. The lighting schemes accommodated different moods and activities, eg low light for watching TV, bedside lighting for reading etc. The curtains are heavy and so keep the room nice and dark. The bathroom was actually a showeroom, but was well laid out and functional. All the cupboard doors were soft-close so you couldn't hear much from the adjacent rooms and the carpet in the halls was dense to reduce the sound of foot-fall.

Location wise, the hotel is across the road from the central station so travelling by train, bus or metro is a breeze. It's also easily walkable to Gamla Stan (the old town) with its excellent selection of bars, restaurants and tourist sights to see.

Breakfast was good. There's a buffet so you can choose from typical English breakfast, cold meats and cheese, pastries etc. There was a plentiful supply of fresh fruit juice and tea/coffee.

Evening meals were a little underwhelming. The food was ok and the service was ok, but the atmosphere was poor and non-descript. The prices were ok - not cheap and not dear. The dining experience was easily forgetful.

Overall, a great new hotel in a useful location with excellent transport links, but you're better off taking a walk to the old town for something to eat.

Pros:
Very friendly reception staff
Superb buffet-style breakfast; one of the best we've experienced in 15 years of travelling. Huge range of foods, freshly cooked, hot. Plenty of tables.
Immaculate rooms; as if we were the first people ever to stay in it. Very modern rooms.
Good evening restaurant.

Cons:
Tiny gym. For a hotel this size, it was a very small room with limited facilities. No sauna, steam room or pool.

Room Tip: Request a water view and high floor in advance

The Hotel is located beautifully at the waterfront, as the name already suggests. Its service is at a very high level with only very few things to complain about. Nice and modernly designed rooms with a great view (if you are facing the waterfront, not the conference center). To me there are very few and negligible things to complain, apart from the hefty price (which is not unusual for 4-star Stockholm hotels)

Just got back from Sweden and staying in this fabulous hotel. We had a business class room with a floor to ceiling window with views over the Old Town and City Hall. The room was excellent with walk-in shower, bath-robes and free internet. Could have done with a larger duvet on the double bed. The breakfast was AMAZING! One of the best breakfasts we've had. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is well located just above Central Station and within walking distance of all the sights. We'll be staying here again next time we go to Stockholm!!

Room Tip: Book a business class room with views over the city.

Having decided to tag a night in Stockholm onto a wedding weekend in northern Sweden, we wanted something relatively comfortable, convenient and classy - this hotel delivered. Just a minute's walk from the bus station and central train station, the hotel overlooks the Nobel Palace with spectacular views towards the Old Town. We plumped for a (suprisingly reasonable) upgrade to a business class room (essentially a room with a view) on the 14th floor and weren't disappointed. The rooms are well kitted out, the beds comfortable in the extreme and the breakfast an absolute treat.

The only potential criticism you could level at Radisson is that the area outside the entrance needs some landscaping and some furniture - anything to change it from being a rather barren patch of tarmac. But of course, it's what inside the hotel that counts - and thankfully they've got this right.
