“Good stay, but expensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 December 2013

I selected this Hotel for our business trip in December 2013. We were 8 colleagues and I booked 8 rooms via booking.com with 02 separate bookings (5 rooms + 3 rooms). I was late so my colleagues and the receptionist had some confusion and we were only given 5 rooms. After a long 27 hours journey, I reached hotel and realized what happened but I sorted things out with Victoria, very pleasant person.
Best thing about Radisson Blu WaterFront Hotel is the location. Right next to the central station T-Centralen and very near all the major attractions. Being at the central location also helped us in our daily commute to Ericsson office in Kista.
Loved the comfortable soundproof rooms. We were given twin rooms with 02 single beds whereas I specifically asked to give us double beds in our booking. The washrooms were quite small but manageable. The staff was always were accommodating and helpful. They also gave us a schedule for Arlanda Express which helped us catch our flight on time.
The mini bar was not accessible, and upon inquiry they told us it will not be accessible as were paying via cash and not credit card.
also, there was no option to change the room temperature. When I inquired about it, I was offered to be given an extra blanket. that was nice but there should be an option to change the room temperature as Stockholm was really cold in December.
Overall we loved and enjoyed our stay, though I really think that the hotel is somewhat overpriced.

Room Tip: Higher Floors with a City View

Right next door to Central Station - and perfect to step off the Arlanda Express into the hotel - just follow the signs in the station to Congress Centre (up the escalator next to the lockers and keep going to the doors at the end of the hall - hotel is just 20 metres across the road. Rooms OK for business wi-fi connection is good, restaurant is OK - although there's a great steakhouse a short walk away in the same block just around the corner (just turn left out the hotel and left again). Windows don't open on the rooms overlooking the congress - aircon is a bit noisy.

Room Tip: Windows don't open on the rooms overlooking the congress (I was on floor 7) - aircon is a bit no...

Right at Central Station. Very good cafes within stumbling distance. Very comfortable rooms. Cheap dinner available at the coop salad bar in the basement of Central Station.

Unfortunately, the in-hotel restaurant disappointed us the one night we ate there. It hadn't disappointed us in the past, so that surprised us. I found the portions small, the food very slow to appear, and my meat overcooked. Perhaps they simply had a bad night.

The hotel staff treated us magnificently. They made sure things worked, they offered to help, but otherwise they stayed out of our way. Perfect balance for our tastes.

we had a great couple of days in this lovely city, made even better by the choice of this hotel.
it was so easy to access from the airport, and great location. the staff were exceptional. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed as well as a great view. especially loved the heated floor in the bathroom. so want to make a return visit in the summer time.

The hotel is less than 1 minute's walk from the railway station, with regular and rapid services running to Arlanda Airport. This makes it very convenient for international travellers. Despite proximity to the railway, one can't hear the trains. However, the walls of the rooms themselves are a bit thin so I could hear the room next door.

We were in a room on the 16th floor, so I hoped for great views over the city, but din't get them. Our room (618) had views of the offices inside the adjacent conference centre - and people working in those offices had views of our room.

That said, the room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent - professional, friendly and efficient. I would happily stay here again.

Have stayed in this hotel a few times now and it is really very good. The staff very friendly and efficient. The rooms clean and well maintained. Beds lovely.
However, the best by this hotel is the breakfast. Heaven on earth. I could sit there for ever. And yes, it is possible to make individual orders, like fried egg, omelet and espresso etc.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the lake otherwise you have to look right in to an office building.

This hotel captures the spirit of Stockholm. The staff were absolutely brilliant and could not have don't more to assist us. We were travelling with a 6 month old infant and they were so kind. The rooms overlooking the waterfront were stunning, the restaurant brilliant and the bar excellent. Location could not be better. I will return very soon.
