Quality Hotel Nacka
Ranked #82 of 154 Hotels in Stockholm
Reviewed 31 May 2012

I've stayed at this hotel five times, and I'm very satisfied with all of my visits. The hotel is welcoming, and spacious. Breakfast is very nice. A lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. A nice view over Nacka from most rooms.
Easy access from Slussen. Bus, or Saltsjöbanan. Only 3 stops to the hotel. From Slussen you can change to underground, or bus, or walk to Gamla Stan. Some of the rooms are more "tired" than others, but for the rate I'm usually staying at, this is not a problem.
The restaurant is ok, and their cheeseburger tasteful and enough for two persons! Free internet. Free parking. Relax-area free of charge, with swimming pool, bubble bath, sauna, and fitness room.

If you get a good price pr. night, I would not hesitate booking this hotel.

Rooms are spacious. Staff are helpful. Slightly away from the city centre. Trains pass nearby every 15 minutes at night. Supermarket and shopping centre are 5 minutes away.

Good business hotel if you have to be around Nacka. If you're visiting Stockholm on a city trip, you might want to book a hotel closer to the city centre.
The room was clean and in good condition. The heating was on a very high temperature though, a bit too much for me.
The breakfast buffet is of very good quality. The staff is also very nice and helpful.

This hotel is by a major road. The hearing was set so high that the window had to be kept open (in November), which meant that it could be very noisy. I suppose the same would be true in summar as I did not see air conditioning. Breakfast was slightly better than average. Quite a long way from the city centre, not on the underground network but connected by bus. OK for a hockey team travelling to and from the hotel by own coach and only needed a place to sleep.

Sweden is certainly one of the most expensive capital cities in Europe, but is certainly worth a visit. Downtown hotels are very expensive (don't be surprised to be quoted £250 a night!). But there is a cheaper option.
The Quality Hotel, which is situated in a quiet suburb called Sickla, offers comfortable rooms, at around one third of the cost of comparable downtown hotels. It is situated in a fast-developing area, 15 minutes from the city centre by a very reliable bus and train service. The bus stop is right next to the hotel and the train station is around 3 minutes walk.
The hotel provides a very good buffet breakfast, lots of choice and good quality, included in the room rate.
Rooms are not big, but are reasonably well-equipped, with flat-screen TVs, and anti-allergy bedding available on request.
There is a small but pleasant bar (be warned, alcohol is very expensive in Sweden), and a nice restaurant - reasonable menu, but also quite pricey.
If you are looking for alternatives, the hotel is only a few minutes walk from a pleasant, modern shopping centre, which includes several restaurants (pizza, indian, french bistro), cafes, a movie theatre and a good selection of shops.
We spent two nights at this hotel in early September. It was almost full on the second night (Friday) with several tour groups, but it remained quiet, and the staff seemed able to cope very well. They were helpful and friendly (supplying a couple of extra pillows immediately on request). There is free wi-fi, very important for most of us, and a sports centre, which I assume costs extra.
If you are looking for luxury, then this is probably not the place for us. But if you are happy with a business/tour group level hotel, then this will not disappoint. Better to save money on the hotel, and save for the additional cost of everything else in Sweden.

We were lucky and got a room on one of the far ends of the hotel, room number 325. The other members of the group with whom we were travelling did´t have a bath tub neighter a balcony in there room, but we had. The hotel food was expensive, but there was a pizzeria not far from the hotel, just across the street on the other side of a parkinglot. In summary: an quite expensive hotel with a good standard. NOTE: They reserve the amount your suppose to pay on your wisa-card at check in, so make sure you don't pay that again when you leave. in the later case you will have to wait a couple of days before you get the money back on you account and might have to call the hotell. But they're very friendly so I don't thing you have to worry. =)

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony and bath tub.
