Quiet, but pretty central location, very friendly and helpful staff, nice room with everything needed - apart from a fan or even better air condition (it was unusually hot in Stockholm)
Breakfast is fantastic, and the evening meal is a really nice bonus if you don´t spend the evenings out in town.

Nice hotel close to communications but still not in the middle of the partyzone. Only one slight missunderstanding about a bar bill, but they backed on that when I insisted. Very friendly and understanding staff.

nice surroundings and interior of the hotel; big and clean room with comfortable bed; polite staff; fine options for breakfast, fika and evening meal; possibility of late check-out; good transport connections with most parts of Stockholm

We stayed at the Clarion Tapto prior to a cruise leaving out of Stockholm. When we arrived at the Stockholm airport, we purchased two-day unlimited metro/bus tickets and took the train to Central Station. From there, Stadion station was approximately three stops away. The hotel was less than a 5 minute walk away. It is located in a quiet, residential area but it is approximately 25-30 minutes by foot to the center of town should you choose to walk. Otherwise, the center of town is easily accessible by bus or train. I was really pleased with the hotel itself. When you walk in, there was a plate of caramels for the guests. The folks at the front desk were very helpful in giving instructions. Our room (we had a deluxe room) was simply furnished but very functional. The only minor complaint I had was that the television did not face the bed so at night I had to sit on a chair in order to watch tv. The bathroom could have used a bit of a redo and there is only a shower, no bathtub. I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. There was a great variety of choices including, as is typical in Europe, meats and cheeses. The only problem I had with the buffet was you had to cut your own brown bread and a number of people didn't use the cloth provided to hold the bread in place and instead used their hands - not very hygienic! The hotel provides dinner and since Stockholm is an expensive city, this was a great bonus. There was only one choice of entree per night. On our first night it was chicken and on our second night it was fish. I don't care for fish but there was enough variety at the salad bar to satisfy me. A simple dessert was always provided as well and you could purchase wine, beer, soda, etc. The dining room was actually very nice - almost like a restaurant with very comfortable chairs. If you exit the hotel and make your first left, there was a restaurant about a block or so down with a very nice luncheon special. On the day of our departure, the staff gave us directions to the port. We only had to take one bus and it was no more than a 15-20 minute ride at most. On the way to the port there were a number of local folks going to the port who also boarded the bus. We really enjoyed our time in Stockholm and it we return, I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

n a quiet residential neighborhood. Although it's possible to walk from the city center, it's a bit far and public transportation is essentially required. It was about 5 minutes to walk to the subway station. We didn't find any nightlife nearby. As we encountered at other clarion hotels, the free evening meal is eatable but not very good. But the price is right. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and considered this hotel a good budget option for exploring Stockholm.
