Beautiful and dignified hotel in lovely, centrally accessible area of Stockholm centered within Old Town. The hotel has a warm and charming feel, the rooms are large enough and thoughtfully furnished. Staff is attentive - thank you Janet - and the breakfast is excellent as well. This hotel is not for loud party types. Definitely recommend this lovely hotel.

We stayed two nights in August. We have mixed feelings about this hotel, which is conveniently located near the Gamla Stan t bana station. On one hand, the room was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, modern and functional, and the breakfast was very good. However, the room and the public areas have a "drab" feeling that suggests the hotel is due for a major refreshing if not a renovation. That said, it is a good, professionally run hotel and you won't go wrong by staying here.

My husband and I recently returned from Scandinavia. While in Stockholm, we stayed three days at The Victory Hotel. We enjoyed a suite, and the staff was most gracious. A wonderful smorgasbord was included each morning. I wanted to book an hotel in the older part of Stockholm and did a lot of research to decide on this hotel. We weren't disappointed.

Stayed 4 nights in August 2013. Loved the location! Able to walk everywhere; restaurants, tourist destinations, ferries, trains, etc.

Small quiet hotel. Very quaint. As in all historic hotels, the rooms are small, decorated in antiques all with old ships as a theme. However, we were in 401, a twin, and it was more of a studio with 2 beds, with sofa, chair, desk, etc. And a lot of closet storage in the hallway. The bathroom had a beautiful decorative tile shower and 2 pedestal sinks.

Free breakfast, free in room WiFi plus great concierge/front desk services above expectations in every way imaginable.

Room Tip: Less than a 5 minute walk to many restaurants, a 7-11convenience store, ice cream shops, bakeries, b...

Stayed for 1 night. Nice concept but in need of a good clean and refurbishment! My husband used to stay here several years ago on a regular basis and it was wonderful. Now it is tired and run down. NOT worth the £216.00 we paid! We stayed at the Kempinski Atlantic in Hamburg a week later for a similar price - which is a REAL 5 Star hotel! Avoid until refurbished and cleaned!

Very small single room but very comfortable & quiet. Professional staff. Great atmosphere and ambiance, like in a musuem. Reasonable breakfast. No window view. Excellenct location for touring the city. Very clean. No coffee in the rooms or before breakfast. Overall, worth the price.

Room Tip: Make sure it is big enough for you.

After several days in Norway we concluded our trip with three days in Stockholm, staying at the marvelous Victory Hotel. We stayed in a very spacious Captains Deluxe Room, which was packed with character and charm, and thoroughly relaxing to spend time in during breaks from walking all over Stockholm. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the location could not have been better! The only drawback was an inconsistent and spotty wi-fi connection, but we were on vacation so it wasn't a huge deal. Gamla Stan was amazing, and so many dining options, shopping destinations (hello science fiction bookstore!) and cultural attractions were mere minutes from the hotel. This was a wonderful way to end our stay in Scandinavia, and we would most certainly choose the Victory again upon a return to Stockholm.

Dear Joanna,

Its great to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. I am glad you took time to explore the Old Town with its small nice hideaways and exciting stores. There is so much to enjoy if you just leave the most "touristic" main streets.
I hope to see you soon again!
