On a visit to to Stockholm Mrs B sorted this lovely little hotel in the heart of Gamla Stan (Old Town) only minutes from the station & ideal for the town & city. Great customer service with clean unfussy rooms. Nice

Quaint hotel in Old Town. Totally dedicated to Lord Nelson. The place is full of ships and books and memorabilia. Each room is names after a captain. Our room was plush, large, had a canopy bed, and a large bathroom with a spa bath. The Tweed bar downstairs is great fro a drink. Staff are friendly and helpful. Walking distance to many cafés and bars. The shopping street is close by.

We were in Stockholm, to our regret, for only one night....which we spent at the Victory Hotel. Since we disembarked our cruise at eight in the morning, it was necessary for us to ask the hotel to store our bags, which they gladly did, in the small lobby bar. We then took a driving tour of the city and when we returned, our bags were in our rooms.

The hotel is located right in the old town, which is a great place for walking around and is near a number of scenic and historical stops, as well as handy to the waterfront (which is everywhere, of course) and the scenic ferry rides.

Our group consisted of 14 couples staying in this hotel for one night and our room experiences were varied across the spectrum. Now that I am beyond the censure of my travel mates, I can admit that our room was extremely spacious, had a king bed for us and a twin bed, just in case. Additionally, there was a sofa in the comfortable sitting area, and..get this...side by side bathtubs in the bathroom! Others in the group complained that, although their beds were comfortable, they could barely turn around, when not in them. Some of the group were accommodated in a building across the street, in so-called "apartments", which is doubtless what they were before the hotel acquired them.

The included breakfast was certainly adequate, if not spectacular, and once again, the staff was helpful and engaging.

My husband and I stayed here with our 8 month old baby. We loved the hotel- quirky and old, but clean, well maintained, and great and attentive staff. We stayed in room 209 Captains deluxe which was PERFECT for us because it had a small living room where we set up the baby's travel crib.

Every day the staff brought us complimentary port wine and chocolate- nice touch.

Breakfast was plentiful and yummy. Once I was 10 minutes past closing time and the staff let me collect lots of food and bring it up to the room.

Great location in heart of Gamla Stan and 3 mins walk to metro.

Wow what a unique hotel-a nautical museum to experience. The staff was warm and welcoming. The rooms are small but adequate, the beds were so comfy and the bath/shower is beautiful. The breakfast buffet had everything you could want. The location was perfect, right in Old Town, easy walking distance to everything. Jenny at the front desk was super-making dinner reservations, giving directions to various places, and tracking down an item my husband left in the room and sent it to us at home. The Vasa Museum is a must see. The only place to stay in Stockholm.
