“Great hotel, cool place with a mix of classic and trendy”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

Well located hotel, nice rooms, the breakfast needs more international options. Really a great service starting from smiling and happy people from the front desk. After the checkout we realize that we forgot the wallet with all our money, and when we come back to explain what happen, they already knew it and all our staff were ready at the front desk. Very professional people.

Room Tip: Ask for the front rooms with balcony

Hotel very well placed to reach the main sights. Very exclusive area. Excellent service and very pleasant and helpful staff. Buffet breakfast fantastic. Beware of courtyard room - ours looked out onto a wall! We upgraded to sea view for last night which, although room quite small, was lovely especially at night with all the lights twinkling and the Royal Palace in the background. The Retreat has a jacuzzi and sauna room which can be booked, free of charge, by the hour. Very popular so book early! Weather permitting (we were so lucky to have an unexpected heatwave!) do hire bikes. The garden island of Djurgaden is fantastic and we spent hours cycling all over it including along the canal which has a heronry at one point.

Stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Diplomat April 4,5,6. Our room was huge, comfortable, clean and
quiet. The staff was so nice at the front desk. The food & beverage area was charming. We loved
having our meals there in the AM - what a fabulous breakfast! Tea in the afternoon and a night cap
after a dinner out. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. You can walk to everything which is what you do in Stockholm!

Room Tip: You can open the windows and smell the clean fresh air. Our room did not have a ' view ' oth...

It was our first visit and we had a great time. The hotel is very central. The staff were very friendly and the family room (we were 4) was very spacious. The kids really enjoyed themselves. The T Bar had amazing food and the breakfast buffet was also first class. The hotel was also child friendly and very helpful with making recommendations around restaurants, museums, etc...

This is a an excellent hotel given the price. Stockholm hotels are extremely expensive and this one is very well located. The rooms are not huge but they are nicely finished and the bathrooms we'll equipped. The food is excellent and it has a boutique feel. Wifi is very good and easy to use. Easy to get to all the sights and the bar is great for a trendy evening drink. We stayed with our 3 year old and she enjoyed it. She had a little bed in our room which was comfortable. She was well looked after with children's portions for lunch and supper.

The hotel was very clean and the representatives were all very helpful and cordial. The location of the hotel was beyond excellent. It was a few blocks from the hustle and bustle of the city center but it was closer to all the main museums and boat ride. Supermarket and train station is about 4-5 blocks away. The view was amazing. One thing to note is that a lot of their rooms have 2 steps to walk down to.
