“Loved It!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2014

This hotel is simply beautiful. The only complaints I had was there was no Malibu in the Bar and there was no Tea and Coffee facilities in the room. However this wouldn't stop me staying there. If you would like to treat yourself and are staying in Stockholm Visit the Grand. Even if its only for the breakfast.

Dear Angelbel

We were very pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. We noted your comments regarding Malibu and have passed these on to the Cadier bar.

We hope that you will stay with us again in the near future.

Rooms, staff, food, spa. Everything is world class. It's more expensive than other hotels in Stockholm, but certainly worth it! We had a flat tire on our tram with little time left before our flight, the concierge helped us get it done on time. Lovely hotel!

I have spent 2 nights in this nice hotel and I can tell that the most of its standards reflect the 5 stars that it has.
The rooms are pretty big and very well cleaned.
The bed is really really comfy.
Everything you might need is in the room: adaptors, iron, extra pillows, complimentary sparkling water, magazines.
Tha bathrooms is spacious and I really appreciate the Molton Brown bath and body products.
H24 Room service is punctual and good.
The breakfast at this hotel is a real pleasure: from the veranda you can enjoy the view while drinking your good swede coffee. Food selection is good and fresh.
The Spa is very relaxing and the staff is really gentle and helpful so don't forget your swimming costume.
The only thing I did not like is the check-in : the girl who checked me in did not provide me with any kind of information about breakfast, restaurant and Spa and I had to ask for getting it. I expected a warmer welcome and more information as you don't want to feel kind of lost when you are in a new place for the first time. I would suggest that the front office manager improves the quality of service.
It was a nice experice and I will come back.

Dear Fealuna

Thank you for taking the time to write the lengthy and detailed review of the hotel, we appreciate the feedback. We have been adding in room features recently such as the adaptors, his and hers amenities and free bottled water, so is nice to see they positively contributed to your stay.

We were sorry to hear that check in did not meet your expectations, and this feedback has been passed onto our Front office and the team.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Grand in the not too distant future.

Warm regards
Dean

We had a long weekend in Stockholm and decided to choose a room with a view over the water towards the Old Town and the Palace. What a treat. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious and of the highest quality. The staff are always at hand and very keen to provide a high level of service, particularly the concierge who recommended an excellent restaurant for our Friday evening. The breakfast was great but there were a couple of niggles: there is not a lot of room and so tables are sometimes at a premium, highlighted by the long queue that we experienced on Sunday morning. There were a lot of disgruntled guests who had clearly paid a lot of money for a room and did not expect to have to wait so long to be seated (ourselves included) but also those who were keen to get away to catch their flight and were caught out by the wait. Other than this I would highly recommend this hotel - it is not cheap but then you expect to pay for the best hotel in Stockholm. Great location for visiting the historical sites and museums as well as the designer shops and malls.

Lovely hotel, helpful staff & fabulous spa.
Breakfast was a nightmare, go out plenty of places in the old town.
The concierge gave us a recommendation for our first evening meal, it was fantastic traditional Swedish meals.
Had dinner in the 1* restaurant which was also fab. The waiting list for the 2* was over two months long. If this is what you really want to do book ahead.
All in all we had a great weekend plenty to see & do. Need to return in the summer months for boat trips... Etc...

Dear Jo90Bucks

It was great to read your positive comments regarding the hotel, our concierge service and the one star Michelin restaurant, Matbaren. However I was less happy to read that breakfast did not live up to your expectations. I would appreciate it if you could contact me directly with your feedback so we can improve upon this. We look forward to welcoming you back in the summer.

Warm regards
