The bits of the Hallwyl museum that we could get to were really interesting, we got in using the Stockholm pass and paid to use an audio guide which was excellent.
I really enjoyed the rooms we could see however I was a little dissapointed that some of the things I wanted to see could only be accessed as part of a guided tour but that you weren't informed of this until you'd gone in and it was cordoned off. Unfortunately there was only one guided tour each day and the time wasn't convenient for us.
I'd recommend a visit but I'd definitely try to coincide the time with a tour if possible.

Thank Robyn W

The museum has lots of interesting art and artifacts, and the rooms are lavishly decorated. It is worth it to go to the guided tour, so you can hear interesting stories about the family.

A very interesting museum, located near the Royal Dramatic Theatre. The house was built as a home for one of the richest families in Sweden at the end of the 19th century. I went on a giuded tour and highly recommend it! As we learned about the history of the museum and the countess Wilhelmina's art collection, we were shown the fine stylish rooms and contrasting with them modern conveniences.

Outside it looks like a typical elder house in Stockholm, but inside it´s just corgeous! It´s great to see how the society lived in Stockholm a hundred years ago. We found this museum by chance but were very satisfied we did. It´s allowed to take photos in here - but as the booking clerk said: only, if you take good photos ;)
