Owner description: The Vasa ship capsized and sank in Stockholm 1628. After 333 years on the sea bed the mighty warship was salvaged and the voyage could continue. Today Vasa is the world's only preserved 17th century ship and the most visited museum in Scandinavia.

“Very good work for a lousy museum idea”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2014

The museum is for a ship that sunk hundrends years ago. It is really spectacular when you first encounter the size and the woods of this living museum. It is really exciting to see a vessel that was built hundends years ago alive in front of you. The video and all that surrounded the ship give you the impression of a really great work. But all this is just for ship that sunk because of a mistake of the builders. To make such a big museum with such a price for just a ship (even in this size and age) is really not my opinion about the meaning of a museum. Nevertheless if you travel in Stockholm you must pay it a visit.

Amazing ship that gives you insights into life and politics at that time. Plan on spending at least an hour.

This is quite an amazing museum. Well worth the time. The exhibits are interesting and informational. The museum offers free wi-fi. We ate in the museum cafe which was quite a good little cafe. it was a bit expensive, but then so is everything is Stockholm.

“Outstanding”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2014

The museum is certainly worth seeing. The huge ship built in 17th century is well preserved. The exhibition tells its unusual story. Interesting for both children and adults. There are also innovations like computer ship modeling and interactive methods of getting information.

Very well laid out signage and an interesting array or exhibits. Spent 3 hours here and could easily have stayed longer.
