Do not stay in the rooms facing the street (odd numbers). Rather, you must request a room facing the inner courtyard with the even numbers. Outrageously, these rooms cost the same price. But when I saw the door open to the room across the hall I saw that they are much better than mine facing the street. This is because the street-facing rooms DO NOT HAVE A CLOSET but only a short bar on the wall with four hangers. And there is only 14 inches of space between the end of the bed and the wall. In contrast, the rooms facing the inner courtyard have a closet and plenty of room between the foot of the bed and the wall. Also, the bathrooms, though stylish, are very tight (but adequate). I realize that Stockholm is expensive, but surely there should be a difference in price between these two kinds of rooms and there is not. I suspect the square footage is the same but the bad room are horizontal i layout and the good rooms are long. But the odd-numbered rooms are truly uncomfortable and it would be impossible for a couple to stay in these odd-numbered rooms. Note, too, that there is no coffee-pot/tea kettle in room and no room mini-fridge. But it's the configuration of the off-numbered street-facing room that is truly unacceptable. Also, they might have chosen white for the wall color, rather than depressing grey. Yet the hotel otherwise is very nice. Terrific breakfasts. Great location near the metro. Staff is okay. Wi-fi is free and good. But if you make a reservation here you must insist on the inner courtyard-facing rooms, or else demand a discount.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the inner courtyard. Do not accept a street-facing room.

Upon arrival I found the staff not as welcoming as other Stockholm hotels. But I really liked the theatre theme. The bar was really popular with locals. It was very busy and friendly but the music was very loud, so we couldn't hear ourselves speak. The room was really lovely, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a bit hectic but good.

In general I like this hotel - and maybe the "average" rating is a litle harsh. The location is perfect, the decor and layout very good looking and fresh and it has a "funky feel". True - the rooms are generally very small - but it works and the bathrooms are absolutely OK. There is no minibar, kettle or anything like that - and that is a small minus (especially since the lobby ALWAYS is very busy - so it is not easy to get a cup of coffee or similar). WiFi is good.

Breakfast - on the other hand - is NO GOOD. This is a hotel that is putting a lot of effort into being "smart and funky" - burt forget to pay attention to some basic elements. The restaurants are OVERCROWDED - and the buffet is hopeless (today I had to stand in line 10 min. - just for a cup of coffee). Many people have complained about this - but the hotel doesn't do anything to improve this - and that is bad!!

So in general - if you need a room and good location - choose this hotel. If you need service and attention - then you probably should stay somewhere else.

PS. Like their online.check out - especially since it can take you min. 30 min to check out in reception (the lines are that long!!!)

Fantastic location, right across the road from Arlanda Express. Rooms are nice, if a little pricey (watch out for cheap "cabin" rooms, they are in the basement and don't have any windows). Well equipped gym and great breakfast. Hotel staff are great and really helpful, but the restaurant staff have a knack of making you feel very uncomfortable if you're dining on your own (not uncommon for people travelling on business). Maître d' was surly and sucked his teeth when I asked for a table for one. The first night it was only when I told him I'd been travelling 32 hours straight and didn't want to have to go out to get dinner that he found me a table in the back of the bar. I may as well have been invisible to the wait staff. This has happened twice so far and I feel inclined to eat somewhere else tomorrow night. That said, the food was very good.

Stayed at this hotel for three nights on business - complete mixed bag. The location is good and very easy to get to from the main train station that you arrive in from the Arlanda Express.

The room was really small and very dark and there just wasn't anything in it - there's not way that you would want to spend an evening in there if you were travelling on your own. There was a tv but little else - not even a bottle of water let alone a mini bar. You could argue there's a safe; the bathroom was really nice (small but decorated well with nice toiletries) and a hairdryer but there's just no light or atmosphere.

However, on a much more positive note the breakfast is terrific - there is so much on offer - probably one of the best I have eaten. There was a huge selection of ham and cheese, bread, pastries and a hot breakfast too. Lots of juice and tea and coffee available.

The hotel bar is also very good - just to the right of the main reception desk. Very funky - very lively - a really good place to go. There's a good wine list and selection of beers. The upstairs bar stays open later for residents.

It was ok - for the breakfast and bar alone it was pretty good and if you're up for a fun night out then choose this but if you're planning any nights in the room then don't choose this one.

Great location if you are staying in the center. Walking distance from the main station. Nice bar on the ground floor, where you have breakfast too. Rooms are nice and have what you need. In case you need a gym- it is quite small and you need a map to get there). I guess it comes with a historical building. Walking distance to some key sights of the city. If you are into jogging- you can just cross the bridge and run around the island, it will give you a few km jog.

I was in Stockholm on a business trip and choose this hotel.
Over all good breakfast, clean, quiet and just in the middle of Stockholm.
Very close to the central train station.

The fitness room is "so and so" really nothing special but except that it is good value for the money.

Room Tip: avoid rooms towards the street if you have difficulties with noice. Skip McDonals, Burger King and...
