Description: Prepare yourself for a dining experience beyond the ordinary! The peculiar host couple Griffins, with a faiblesse for both the good in life and for the unexplainable, has given room for the Griffins' Steakhouse Extraordinaire, a restaurant in the Waterfront building in central Stockholm. A generous steakhouse has been created in an imaginative, magical and vibrant restaurant with real 1920's salon feel. With a menu composed by Swedish masterchefs Christian Hellberg and Karl Ljung, which is offering everything from seafood plateaus and 350 grams of steaks to variations of classic Swedish and European dishes such as Shrimp cocktail, Banana split and lamb hotdog. Griffin's steakhouse also serve the entire menu in the bar which is said to be Stockholm's longest. There you can also enjoy well composed cocktails that are inspired of the classic American cocktail tradition.

“Very good but expensive”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

Dined here with family on a Saturday evening in August 2014. Great meal, great food, great atmosphere and great service.

However gave 4 blobs instead of 5 as even by Stockholm standards this was expensive. I started with a seafood cocktail (posh version of prawn cocktail)---tiny portion. This was followed by flank steak and came with pureed potatoes and green salad.

Had nothing else to eat. Had tap water and 2 small local beers. This came to 50 quid for what I had alone. A bit steep. BTW the views were great with a great vibe and full of locals who must have had a bob or two to be able to afford to dine here.

“Best steak experience in Stockholm”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

Fantastic food! The place looks great, there is possible to sit at the bar or at your own table. The service is good, but a little bit slow. The waiters are nice though.
We did not have reservation, but we got a seating after 3-4 minutes.

The best thing about Griffins steak house is the food. And after all, that's the more important matter when dining out. Good variety in the meny, and fantastic tasting food. The selection of wine and beers are also good. Love it!

“Lamb Sausage to Die For, Mashed Potatoes, Too”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 via mobile

We didn't have reservations, so we ate at the bar which was comfortable. We started with the two "hot dogs" --lamb and veal, and fell in love with the lamb. I wasn't very hungry and so ordered the miniature blinis and caviar, lovely! Husband had pork roast, perfectly cooked and served with mashed potatoes and a nice salad. Now normally we avoid potatoes in the USA, but these fresh new potatoes were totally worth eating. We enjoyed talking with the staff about the food, and topped off the evening with the meringue dessert with berries and more. We left very satisfied with food from Sweden with a somewhat modern twist.

This place looks great, nice furnitures & decor. Food is alright, very simple. Not innovative. Service is confusing and slow.

“Refreshing and fun - after a long working day :)”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

What a place :) ! The cool athmosphere raises your spirit from the moment you enter this restaurant. Great location - close to the central station and to the metro. A walking gallery of fun things to look at. Excellent service - good menue - and excellent servings and wine. Perfect for an after work dinner - og to meet friends - laugh and enjoy!
