My husband and I had booked a flight to Stockholm but then could not find any accommodations under about $250/night due to a medical conference in town. We got very desperate and decided to look into camping accommodations, at which point someone on Trip Advisor suggested we check out the Bredang campground. They have a large area for caravans, a hostel-type thing, and free-standing cabins. We ended up booking a cabin for 3 nights. Because there were only 2 of us staying in a 4-person cabin, they even lowered the price for us, making it quite reasonable! I was a bit uncertain about staying in a cabin, but it was quite nice. It was spotlessly clean, had heat, a television, and even a small kitchenette, where we were able to make breakfast in the mornings. My only complaint would be that it was a bit far from the city center...but after all, it was a campsite I guess! The walk to the train station was about 15 minutes and then the train ride another 30 or so. Unfortunately, nearly every time we rode the train there was some sort of fault that required us to have to get off, board a bus, and then get on a second train, making the ride seem much longer. Overall greatly recommended if you're looking for some sort of alternative accommodations and don't mind being a bit outside of town!
