my colleagues and I went out for dinner in the old town after work and decided to go to this famous square. The food was great and filling and service good considering that the area is a prime tourist spot

we stumbled upon this very quaint square near the royal palace and the nobel museum. a fantastic spot to enjoy a beverage and soak it all in.

there are several restaurants around this square, most with outdoor seating. however, all were packed and finding a table was not easy. we tried to eat at another spot nearby, but the day was hot and sunny and their outdoor tables were in the full sun. so we found space at this restaurant, and sat for lunch. we had 4 adults at one table, and 3 kids at another table. service for each table was fine and friendly - we got our orders in and refills when needed.

the food was fine, although they did not have meatballs (which we were hoping for). I didn't realize until finding the restaurant here on TA that it is albanian ? we saw no indications while at the restaurant. we had sandwiches, which were large and artsy in presentation. bread was good but perhaps oversized - making sandwiches slightly hard to eat and leaving less room for the filings.

overall a good restaurant in a great spot. the beer was good and cool. prices were a bit on the expensive side, but we understand that to be the case throughout Stockholm. lunch for our entire group was $223, not counting any tip.

We were in the old Town of Stockholm at the Stortorget square recently and most of the restaurants were packed. We found a table in the back of the small restaurant. Usually need to eat in close quarters at this place.

There have been mixed reports about this restaurant. We were there at lunch time and the staff were very busy but helpful. No they didnt stop and chat for obvious reasons, but the food was quick and plentiful and their response time for service was also very good. In terms of cost, Stockholm has the Swedish Kroner and it can be expensive. We paid 460 kroner for two meals, and 3 or 4 drinks. Which I didnt think was too bad considering you will pay 45 Kroner for a beer or 35 kroner for a cup of coffee in most places. So our meals and drinks on that day equates to approximately US$60. One point, if you pay for anything in a currency other than the currency of that country it will cost you more as the conversion factor is a lot less favourable. Can recommend it based on our experience.

We went to Stockholm during Midsummer night, and they were probably bummed about having to work. Service was quick but rude. I could have dealt with that, if we hadn't paid 17 Euros for a sandwich. I am fully aware that Stockholm is an expensive city, but for a stale piece of bread with a bit of salmon and a spoon of avocado thrown on it is definitely not worth 17 Euros.

We had arrived late (10pm) after checking into our hotel nearby, looking for somewhere to eat and found several restaurants still open around Stortoget. Misteln looked welcoming, with the usual heaters and blankets on offer on the outside decked terrace on a slightly chilly June evening. The menu was tempting, pork fillet in a cream truffle sauce was delicious and washed down with a very nice Swedish Abro beer.
