This is a wonderfully charming hotel. A 1700s farm house convertedbto a hotel in the city of Stockholm, close to the city centre. It is not a five star hotel but it is clean, well priced, quiet, secure near everything, close to the underground station and pleasant staff. Full of Old world charm....what's not to like. I have travelled all my working life all over the world and stayed at all levels of hotel. I really like this place and reccomend it if you are coming to Stockholm any time soon.
It does not have a restauarant but has a good breakfast room in the cellar. Many good restaurants nearby.

We recently stayed 3 nights at this hidden gem in Stockholm. We reserved the place because of its location and availability of parking our car for the 3 days we were there. We had no real idea of what to expect. It took a little work to find as it is tucked away on a street that is only accessible in one block sections. However, once we found it we were amazed. It was built around 1770, before any of the neighborhood around it existed-- hence the difficulty with access. The place is surrounded by a wall and gated for both elegance and security. Our room was unexpectedly large with tall windows that looked out on a side garden and let in lots of light when you wanted it. If you did not, the velvet curtains kept it out. The floor was original old wide planks of wood, soft on the feet and the rooms have tall, elegant ceilings. The bathroom was very modern and a terrific shower. On one night we had an extra bed brought in for our daughter and there was plenty of room for that as well.
The breakfast that was included in our room cost was a delightful, european buffet with both hard and soft boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, delicious breads from dark whole grains to light as paris croissants. The best Swedish coffee and teas. Even for someone who normally eats light in the morning this was tempting.
The staff was extremely pleasant and when our daughters flight was leaving so early that she was going to miss the breakfast buffet, they pre-made sandwiches to her order and left them for us at no extra charge.
We would definitely stay here again-- and again.

Fantastic and charming hotel with very unique rooms and guest space. Located in a very quiet, residential area but very close to downtown, old town and public transportation. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

This is a great place to stay, its close to all public transportation, the rooms are clean and the staff is excellent. They have a wonderful breakfast . A beautiful patio and garden where I would sit and have my breakfast and feed the birds. The bathrooms are very modern and the beds were very comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this place to anyone that is planning to stay in Stockholm for sightseeing.

I picked this hotel based on the positive reviews here on TripAdvisor and while I wasn't disappointed, I wasn't thrilled either. The hotel was charming but not all that user-friendly during our four night stay.

On the plus side, staff did exactly what they promised and gave my mother a really good, spacious room on the ground floor. She had a big accessible bathroom. The location was also superb (close to the underground, supermarkets and dining) and the building beautiful, with a courtyard out the front where you could relax/smoke (as some did.) There was also an outdoor seating area out the back but this was a bit in need of some weeding and a freshening up of the outdoor furniture.

Our room was on the ground floor also but the bathroom was so small it didn't even have room for a basin. Instead the basin was in the room, and had an automatic temperature controlled tap. This had three issues - sometimes the tap would turn on just because you got too close, the water wasn't cool to drink, and it wasn't hot enough for shaving. The shower/toilet was so narrow you could touch both side walls without even stretching your arms, but functionally it worked fine.

Our room was small and when it came to the final pack before departure we had to make the choice between taking turns or moving one case on to the bed. The furniture was not well suited to the room size in that a massive chest of drawers occupied more space than was appropriate. The only place to put your bags was on the coffee table or small desk chair. Power points were hard to reach and there weren't enough of them. I had to unplug the TV to charge my phone.

There was no bedside light on my side of the bed and I wasn't table to reach the light switch above the basin.

On Sunday the cleaning staff insisted on changing the sheets even though we asked them not to bother because 'Sunday is the day we have to change the sheets.'

Breakfast was served in the vaulted basement which got a bit crowded at busy times. The breakfast buffet was all cold food except for hard and soft boiled eggs. Every other buffet breakfast during our Sweden stay had a wider selection of foods and included warm dishes, which were not on offer here.

Accessibility-wise entry to the hotel is across a stone-cobbled courtyard so you have to carry your bags, not wheel them and there were no staff to help with bags. The steps down to the basement breakfast buffet where high and uneven. If you have mobility issues or are elderly I would suggest you stay somewhere else.

It was all OK and these are small grumbles but I would probably pick somewhere different next time, even though I loved the location and the free coffee, available all day.

Room Tip: Ask for a larger room.
