We had 2 night stay with this hotel. When we stepped into the hotel, it gave us a feeling of entering a library. We were treated with a free dinner using the tripadvisor voucher before the end of Oct promotion which helped us to save a night's dinner. Hotel room was small but it gave us a cozy home like feeling. The delux room was decorated with many books and bathroom was well equipped and modern. Breakfast spread was good and with wide selection of food. Location of the hotel is quiet and walking distance to a subway if i am not wrong, and some shopping area and lastly to Salut Hall as well.

We found this based on tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointing. The location of the Mornington in Ostermalm is just right for going many directions. It is walking distance from Gamla Stan (Old Town) or a short bus ride. It is a city block from the Saluhall in Ostermalm which has wonderful gourmet foods at reasonable prices. You walk four blocks or so down to Nybroplan and catch trams to the museums at Djurgarden or half a block away from the hotel is the subway station. We didn't use the subway because we wanted to be above ground and see the sights, but hear it is good. The food at Mornington is excellent. We bought the Executive Room which includes breakfast and dinner. Both were excellent. I used the Health Club and it is better than most five star hotels at which I have stayed. The rooms are comfortable with great beds and a nice bathroom. The staff is helpful and pleasant. As in most of Sweden, English works well here and all over Stockholm.

Room Tip: The Executive Plan room with b'fast and dinner is excellent value.

Nice room, comfy bed, quiet. Well equipped. Nice toiletries from FACE. Only water in minibar, small hairdryer. Coffee maker. Bar closes early, 23pm! Had lunch, not impressed with kitchen, but breakfast was fair. Nice lounge area. Free wireless everywhere is a big plus!

I thoroughly enjoyed this lovely design hotel. The rooms are small, as expected, but very clean and the decor is attractive. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and friendly. Free wifi is included with no limitations. Breakfast is delicious, with a large selection on hot and cold dishes.
Location is very convenient with a T-bana station just a few minutes' walk away.
I enjoyed visiting Stockholm and I loved the Mornington hotel.

What can you say about a hotel that organizes its lobby around (a) a library and (b) a cafe? I say, "Great!" My experience at the Mornington was superior from start to finish. The room was comfortable, the wireless reliable, the staff (including the restaurant staff) friendly and helpful. The Mornington's location is superior, close enough to walk to Sergels Torg and various local attractions including museums, high-end and grassroots stores and services, a major T-bana stop, and lots of park in which to walk or run. I ate at the restaurant twice, once for breakfast, once for lunch and was pleased each time with the quality of the food. The price was right, but that wasn't the Mornington's main appeal. "Ease of use" is the term I would apply to arriving and staying at the Mornington. .

Room Tip: I was on the seventh floor, which I think was the top. I could see much of Stockholm's skyline o...

A very nice hotel (already with a TripAdvisor Quality Mark) in an excellent spot (not far from Gamla Stan and other Stockholm attractions), with:
1. a wonderful breakfast,
2. great rooms (generally for 1 person; may be too small for 2 guests) with very comfortable beds,
3. not-so-friendly staff
4. bizzarre bathroom (no shower cabin, just curtain - be careful not to get your room flooded....)
5. not-so-clean hallways
What I absolutely LOVED about the room was a small sofa/futon(?) by the window + kettle + tea-cups + a nice selection of teas + books on the shelves. What a great way to spend an evening when it is too chilly to go outside for a stroll...
