Visited this hotel in February on business. It's in a great location if you want the feel of the countryside but close to the city. Very relaxed place with nice views over the water...even if it was frozen when I was there...Stockholm in winter..! Friendly staff. The restaurant was good for dinner. Rooms are basic but comfortable. If you need to get back to Arlanda airport, they have a great price for the taxi - worth asking at reception.

Dear guest,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. Stockholm can truly be beautiful during the cold winter months, we are glad that you got to experience it. Friendly guests = even friendlier staff. For nice guests there is almost nothing we would not do.

We hope that you get to experience Villa Källhagen and Stockholm during all of its seasons.

Have a lovely summer wherever you are in the world.

Yours sincerely,

Victor Olin

We had a one-night trip to Stockholm in the depths of January and stayed at this hotel. What luck! A gorgeous location especially with the snows of winter and the channel half-frozen over. We watched people lang-laufing to work/school and could have stayed on one of two balconies all day were it not so cold! We had dinner and breakfast (breakfast included in the room rate) in the restaurant and the food was delicious. In spite of the restaurant officially closing at 2100, they still went to the trouble of making me a chocolate souffle at 2120hrs. The room was spacious and comfortable - the only criticism is no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which I always prefer but I knew this in advance and took my own! The bus route to the Vasa museum and City centre was very close and you must buy tickets for the bus at the hotel as you cannot get them on the bus. The driver will stamp them and they are then valid for 1 hour. The Vasa museum is very interesting, and the food in their restaurant very tasty, though eating out in Stockholm is expensive! We also had time to squeeze in a trip to Gamla Stan (Bus to Central Station then Metro 1 stop) where we took in the Royal Palace, the church next door, and some of the quirky streets and alleyways with all sorts of touristy tit-tat and other more interesting antique and crafts shops. A great place to go to for a weekend break.

A great family location just by a channel and by the sea we found this little gem with typical simple scandinavian room design but with a beautiful surroundings and great restaurant and bar by the river. The breakfast is very swedish with knackebrod and fish besides the normal european breakfast options.

We borrowed the hotels own bicycles and cycled with the kids around Stockholm and to the museums and restaurants on Djurgarden. This is the perfect family holiday if the weather is as good as we had it!

Room Tip: Ask to lend the bicycles!

This hotel, with it's quiet nice location in a green area but still being close to central, offers a nice alternative to other more standard hotels on a similar price scale. Just nearby is large green areas and a little river with a marina. You can see famous landmark buildings from around the hotel. Interior is nice but a bit bland, everything is working fine and the overall standard is good. Breakfast not top notch, dinner in the restaurant was nice but like most other places in Stockholm a bit overpriced.

A small hotel by the canal, great and peaceful location next to the museum area of Stockholm. 40 minutes stroll to Gamla Stan (old city). Had higher expectations for the price they charged, 230 euro. comming from Norway I am used to high prices, but value have to match better. breafast was simple and the staff was present, nothing more.

We stay at this hotel every time we are in Stockholm. Its quite, in green area with nice walking road to the downtown (about 20 min on foot). Rooms are designed in scandinavian style so they are cosy and sweet. Staff is friendly and breakfast is one of the best which we had while travelling all around the world. We recomend this hotel for everyone!

Room Tip: Room on the first floor with terrace.

This is a very pleasant hotel and we were upgraded into a lovely junior suite at the very end near the water. We found it to be a great location - out of the hustle & bustle but only a half hour very pleasant walk into the centre, and all the tourist spots. Only 10 minute walk to the Nordic museum and another few minutes to Skansen open air museum. The old city is my favourite spot, but enjoyed just walking around. The hotel is fairly basic, but free safe parking and lovely staff. We only had breakfast here which was standard. I would stay again though.

Room Tip: Room number 9 is at the end with an outside area right on the water. However, no windows could be l...
