A clean and practical hotel. Walking distance from plenty of places to eat or drink.

Pleasant and helpful staff.

WiFi included that is easy to connect to and works.

Simple but good quality in-house food.

I studied abroad in Amsterdam last semester and visited Sweden with a few of my friends for a weekend. It was perfect for people my age group, not too fancy, but certainly reasonable for what you are paying. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were warm and accommodating.

I stayed there for tonights in February. The Hotel is more of a 3 star. The building is a bit old, but renovated, rooms are comfy and clean and the Internet is Included.
It doesn't provide anything fancy but It is what you may need for a short basic stay.
It is perfect for (KTH) university visitors, it is less than 5 minutes walk to the university campus. and almost 15 minutes by bus to the centre.

Stayed for 5 nights in January 2014.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable throughout, despite the unavoidable trudging in of ice / snow - didn't really think about it until when I returned to my room on the first night after a brisk walk to drop off my coat. As I left the room, I then saw the dirty footprints that traced my route around my room! Lesson learned - no matter how much stomping, and wiping for shoes on mats in the lobby, the trapped ice in the tread on the soles of your shoes quickly thaw once inside - whoops! The maid quickly saw to it when she cleaned my room the following morning. The reception staff were also quick to yield the mop and keep the lobby area clean from thawing feet.

The room maid was thorough - the room was also cleaned to a high standard, and I also liked that the fact that they tended to clean the room early, sometimes even as you were down at breakfast.

Breakfast was plentiful, varied and pretty good. Breakfast staff very quick to clean tables.

Hotel "bar" is worth explaining. Its quite small, seating for less than 20 but in comfy chairs. It was like a huge minibar where you are tended to by the hotel reception staff, no draught beer - its all bottles. You could see new visitors perplexed, wondering if they should help themselves or wait, but the reception staff were usually prompt.

I ate once in the hotel other than breakfast (restaurant not open on a Sunday eve). Menu was brief (4 or so choices for starter and main) but very nice.

Location - great location for the purpose of my trip except it was just set back off quite a busy road (E20?) so the room I was in located to the front of the hotel had a reasonable level of road noise but given the temperature outside, I had no need to open the windows. In the Summer, it could be quite noisy but the air conditioning seems to work well. Nearby a tube station, or 20 mins walk to the city centre, 30 mins to Gamla Stan. Taxi was quite expensive from Central Station, 3.5km on a Sunday eve cost approx £20. Public transport network is pretty good so I wouldn't be put off by its location relative to the city centre.

The hotel is a bit out of the way, probably 20 minutes from the city center, but we enjoyed the walk and bought a 2 day Hop on Hop off bus pass to get around town. The hotel room is small and sparse but the room is clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was good and included. Stockholm is so expensive and we didn't want to spend a lot of money on a hotel room so this was adequate for our needs. We stayed here for 3 nights before starting a 2 week cruise.

Like everything in Sweden, this place is expensive. It's close to the university, so if you are here for that reason I would stay here. But it's a 30 minute walk at a brisk pace to the "center" of the city, and even further if you want to go to Gamla Stan or any of the spots down in that area. So it's not very convenient to anything (the underground ride to Gamla Stan is the equivalent of around $10 one way, so that's not really an easy option; cab rides are around $30). Rooms are very small, but again, seems typical of Stockholm. Service is also decent, but not great. The receptionist works the bar, so service is slow. Breakfast is pretty good, though, with lots of choices. But for location, I would definitely not recommend this place, outside of a university visit. Finally, the bed is surely the cheapest mattress from Ikea, easily the worst sleep I've had in a hotel in my life.

Stayed for ten days in March 2013. The hotel is next (150m) to a major metro stations, bus stop in front of Hotel. As others said, the center can be reached easily using the Metro, similarly, just the other direction one can reach Stockholm University and the Natural Museum. Joggers and walkes will find a huge park nearby, very safe, lots of people. Public parking (metered - read the fine print on the meter carefully!) available for a fair price less than 50m away, some parking in front of the hotel. Reception well trained, very fluent in English and very friendly. Nice sitting area with bar service in the lobby at affordable prices in Swedish terms. Room comfortable, clean, efficient, and very silent (outside is a roaring main street, inside you hear hardly that traffic). Bathroom, mine had a tub, very clean, nearly elegant and efficient). TV good selection, WLAN excellent reception. I am not a big breakfast person but others seemingly feasted every morning (complimentary breakfast), in the evening one can dine, the menu is small but a good selection for everyone.

Room Tip: If you like a bath tub instead of a shower: ask for such a room
