In a few words :

Stayed 3 nights during a solo trip. Excellent location. The hotel is pretty clear about cabin size so it was perfectly OK for me. The room had a gorgeous sea view (I spent quite some time watching it). Breakfast is excellent. Wi-Fi is free, fast and satisfying. Some adjustments should be made to the bathrooms. Spotless cleaning, comfy bed. Free sauna!

In more details :

Staff is helpful and friendly. The room is as advertised. The bed was very, very comfortable despite the minimal appearance. I had a very good sleep quality during my stay.

The only not-so-perfect point is the bathroom : the size was OK (though someone with long legs cannot sit on the toilet with the closed door), but there was some kind of foul, light odor around (I don't know what it was, and I checked, the bathroom was cleaned spotless). Also, the shower had an temperature constantly changing from cold to burning hot

I've heard some reviews about a ventilation noise going on in each room during the night. There is indeed a slight ventilation running all day, but it automatically stops at 11PM so it's not annoying while sleeping. Would the managers read the review and respond accordingly? Thats great!

The breakfast is a higher-class hotel breakfast and included in the price, you will find bacon, eggs, sausages, freshly made pancakes, pâtés, hams, as well as the usual cereals and juices. Quality seemed very good overall.

The Wi-Fi connection is provided free of charge and is of good quality.

I've also heard there was a complimentary sauna, which is quite nice, but I didn't try it.

The price is in the normal range of Stockholm hotels. Actually, when I booked, it was the cheapest hotel on the list that was located in the city center!

Room Tip: Take one with sea view :-)

This is a very unique boat hotel in a beautiful spot in one of the world's most spectacular cities. You very much get what you pay for in terms of cabins - with the "officers" quarters more spacious than the "crew" rooms - but it is reasonably priced for an expensive city. Scandinavian breakfast and WiFi are included and you get a fantastic view across to the City Hall from the top deck restaurant as you eat. It is moored by the island of Riddarholmen, and is a 5 minute stroll from Gamla Stan (the old town) and a 15 minute walk from the central station.

Stayed here for 3N with hubby and another couple. We got a bunk bed and asked for change which was allowed luckily at no extra charge - to a double bunk with a single bunk bed on top. Room or rather cabin since this's a ship, is rather small and tight for space. Not exactly spotless as we found hairs on the bedspread. Toilet or bathroom was ridiculously arranged, as we had to shower standing at the side of the toilet bowl due to space constraint. Location-wise, it's superb, being within walking distance to the Gamla Stan (Old Town) and the main city. Breakfast was exactly the same every morning, mundane and bland. Staff was good though, attentive and polite. Given a choice, I wouldn't stay here again unless for the unique experience of a hotel-cum-boat!

Room Tip: No point paying more for rooms facing the waters, as it's just a tiny porthole window that is no...

This hotel is converted from an original 1920s motor yacht. It was built for the Woolworths heiress Barbara Hutton and was a 21st birthday present. It has been sympathetically converted and many original features have been retained, it has a great atmosphere. The "cabins" are small so do not expect much room to manoevre.
It is located on the harbour and is within easy walking distance of the metro and the main station. It is only a short walk across the main road bridge to reach the beautiful old part of the city : Gamla Stan.
Very helpful staff and a wonderful spread for breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the harbour..

There are plenty of boat hotels in Stockholm, If that's why you want to stay here, you can certainly look at other places as well. However, this hotel enjoys a location that most others do not. It is within walking distance from Central Station. GamlaStan is also just across the bridge from the hotel so you are right in the center of everything. Also, the views across the water are far better from this side, trust me!

Rooms: Very small, but I suppose I should have expected that anyway. My friend and I opted for bunk beds which was fine except that it was virtually impossible to climb onto the higher bed. There's a ladder but no room to actually move it around and use it! Other furnishings and amenities are basic but adequate. After reading reviews here, I made sure we picked a room on the main level (and not lower level). Thanks to this, we had good wifi throughout our stay. The bathroom was so tiny that I struggled to use the sink (and I'm just 5'6!). Room service was prompt and efficient though.

Breakfast:A variety of breads, some meats, cheeses, fruit juices, coffee, tea, swedish pancakes, scrambled eggs and cereal. Basic but quite filling.

Concierge:VERY helpful and always ready to offer suggestions for shopping/dining etc.

Tip to find the boat: Walk behind Ridderholmen Church and you'll find the boat docked across the parking lot. I had some trouble finding it initially since the maps were not of much help (but it was also getting dark).

Overall: Great value for money considering that every hotel in Stockholm is ridiculously expensive!

Room Tip: Pick a room on the main or upper levels if you plan to use wifi. The stairs are small and narrow. Y...

Perfect location, just minutes walk from Gamla Stan. Very nice atmosphere. Rooms are naturally a bit small. It could be an issue to move inside the bathroom especially in single rooms.

It is one of the best options if you like to stay in Stockholm for a 3-4 days touristic visit.

A few mins walk from nearest Metro station and good access to the whole of Stockholm. Stayed in a double cabin which really was very small, and any view from our single porthole was obstructed by the walkway leading from land to reception. Such a shame. Room was tiny - I could lay across flat and touch both walls. I know you get what you pay for, but I considered it a fair price so would have expected a bigger room. Not a problem as we only stayed one night but I imagine had we spent any longer than the minimum time necessary in that room it would have felt very claustrophobic. Breakfast was average, views from the restaurant are nice. Perfectly fine for a short stay but would not want to spend any longer than sleeping time in the room we had booked.
