We needed a hotel for one night before joining a cruise and chose the Scandic Continetal after reading reviews.
We took the Flygbussarna in from the airport which took us into the centre. The hotel is very close by and we found it easily.
Our room was fairly small but bright with full length windows on two sides and a good view of the city. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well equipped with tea/coffee, safe and toiletries. We were able to walk easily to Gamla Stan for a little sightseeing and dinner.
The hotel puts on an excellent buffet breakfast. The room was very busy - lots of sporting teams staying that night - but they all left quite early. All the staff of the hotel were friendly and helpful. Francesco in the dining room stopped and chatted helpfully to us about Stockholm and the hotel - he had excellent English as did so many people we met in Scandinavia.
The hotel has a good roof top area to get an overview of the city and a very lively bar and outdoor area that seemed very popular with young people.More
