I felt everything about this hotel was great; location, staff, style, all good! The people working for the hotel are all gems! However, as most Stockholm hotels are great for both location and service, for me what sets this one apart is the view. Definitely try and get a balcony room with view over the sea. It does worth the extra money!

Room Tip: I've been in room 5514 and I would go as far as say I recommend the exact same room.

We stayed with 2 young children aged 2 and 5 at the Hilton Stockholm Slussen for one night shortly before Christmas.

The hotel was well located for our needs being a lazy 30 minute walk from Central Station where we arrived and a similar distance to the Viking lines ferry terminal from which we departed. It is a short walk from the Old Town, which while heavily targeted at the tourist is definitely worth walking around, and is near public transport with both a metro and ferry terminal within 10 minutes’ walk. Finding the reception for the first time was a bit of a challenge thanks to the road works taking place in the immediate vicinity. These will likely still be going on throughout January but noise was not an issue.

The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, upon our arrival they brought out colouring-in books and crayons for the children while we checked in. The hotel itself is spread over a number of buildings which meant navigating a few stairs and passages to get to and from our room. The only downside was having to walk past the foyer area and toilets for the Panorama Restaurant, due to an unpleasant odour emanating from the toilets. I should mention these toilets were clean and well-kept but there seemed to be a plumbing or ventilation issue.

We were lucky enough to be staying in room 7001 of building 3. This is suite with a small lounge area separated from the bedroom by the entrance with the bathroom in between. This allowed us to put the children to bed and still stay up and chat ourselves, a small luxury when travelling with young children.
The room has excellent view over old town. The bathroom was had a shower over the bath which I have found to be very common throughout Europe.

Our booking included access to the Executive lounge on level 4 of the main building. This allowed us to wind down with a snack and beverage after a session out viewing visiting Stockholm's many attractions. The lounge was quiet, clean and comfortable. In the evenings a pleasant selection of hors d'oeuvres both hot and cold are provided and also alcoholic beverages, naturally this gets much busier.

Breakfast was included with our booking which we took in the Panorama restaurant, there was a reasonable selection, there was no manned egg station but for those we a sweet tooth there was a self-service waffle station. The selection or fruits was limited, this may be a reflection of availability during winter, which meant our children were missing a few of their favourites, they made up for this by working their way through the good selection of pastries.

I'd finally like to thank Peter and the front desk staff for doing their best to find a blanket our 2 year son uses as a comforter which we managed to misplace, whilst the search was not successful the effort and caring sentiment were appreciated.

Room Tip: Suite 7001 has excellent views and plenty of space.

This is a really good hotel because it's really close to Old Town and if you get sick of Hotel Food there are some restaurants situated a few streets down from the hotel. The executive lounge, if you're eligible for access to it, is big and the food is quite high-end because there are a lot of business people who use it. It has some great food so you can freely eat caviar and salmon everyday. The staff are extremely friendly - as are the Swedes in general.

Very good location close to subway and within walking distance to the old town Gamla Stan. Also very nice view from hotel to the old town, water inlet and other side of town. Although the hotel is right above a multiple lane traffic road and close to train tracks, it was still quiet in the room when windows were closed. Room was ok and standard for this type of hotel category, but quiet small but that is Sweden... The gym is great and big, also due to the fact that it is public gym, great idea as this offers hotel guest a fully equipped gym! Breakfast buffet was awesome, huge selection of different dishes. As we booked executive room, a smaller breakfast buffet is also available in the executive lounge which is less crowded and more quiet atmosphere. Stayed here for 3 nights between Xmas-New Years. Special discounted rate over the holiday season which made it well affordable.

The choice of the hotel was based on HHonors membership and a visit made a few years ago. The hotel is well located near the subway Slussen, only to stops from Central Station where Arlanda Express brings you from the airport. The ~Old City - Gamla Stan with boutiques and restaurants is within walking distance.
The room was nice overlooking Gamla Stan, but this as I paid for a room with view (!).
The reception was prompt and very courteous. We had a minor request solved as quick as possible.
The Executive Lounge is nice, but sometimes too small, overpacked by tourists encouraged by free drinks and snacks.
The only inconvenience was the bath room that had a bath tube difficult to over step to enter. There is no alternative shower cabin and if you are old or with a disability beware!

Room Tip: Rooms with view, but they are more expensive!

I stay at Hilton hotels frequently and although I have travelled probably 200 times to Stockholm I have not stayed here before. The location of the hotel is great. Close to the subway and within walking distance from the old town. I was here on business so no sightseeing.

The common areas are nice and there is a nice bar and restaurant. The gym is big and also very good. The room that I got was Ok, was expecting a newer interior. That said the room wa comfortable and very quiet. Breakfast was ok, standard Hilton with the seasonal extra of being able to get Waffles. Check out and getting taxi was superb. By the time I had checked out I had a taxi waiting for me.
