I've stayed at the Kung Carll hotel with my wife in May 2011. The location of the hotel is great, right on the main street which takes you to the seaside and many attractions on foot. There are many bars and restaurants around, and many shops of course.

The hotel rooms are okay, enough room. But the walls and windows are not sound proof so you hear everything: from people shouting on the street to cars passing, from people walking in the corridor etc. If you have light sleep this could be a problem. There is a flat screen tv in the room, a mini bar (but empty, you have to fill it in), a safe box.

The breakfast is served next to the lobby and it's very good with variaities. You can use free wireless internet in the room and in the lobby.

Overall the hotel is good and it's located very centrally, the only problem would be the noice.

Burak from Istanbul

Room Tip: try to get quiter rooms, from upper floors.

It is nice to stay somewhere that makes you feel you are in a different place and not in just a room which could be in any corporate branded hotel in the world.

The location of this hotel is excellent, the rooms are nicely sized, the entrance and bar area is pleasant and the breakfast area is good though difficult to get around when it is busy.

After work there is plenty to do around the area even if just to work around the water area or city.

The location is excellent at the famous Stureplan with all its bars, restaurants, and fancy shops. City center's big department stores are also near. Service was good and the breakfast was excellent. The room was ok, just a little noisy. The floor drain of the shower box didn't work properly; after showering the toilet floor was floating. Still, I think this hotel offered decent value for money.

This is a very lovely hotel within easy reach of most things you want to see in Stockholm. We walked pretty much everywhere and enjoyed our stay here very much. Our room (just a standard one on the first floor) was very beautifully decorated. The room had large heated window sills - it was lovely to sit on there after a day spent walking around in sub-zero temperatures, with a glass of wine in hand, watching the world go by in the street downstairs under the falling snow. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful with a huge variety and choice.
The basket of ginger biscuits at reception is a nice touch. Drinks from the bar are hyper-expensive, but that's the same everywhere in Stockholm.
They give you a code for wifi at reception which is very handy.

We've stayed in this hotel for 4 days. We've got there around midnight and staff was very nice. Loved the cute interior of the room.
But it was Saturday night and the bar next to the hotel was very noisy. Plus, the room was facing to the busy Birger Jarlsgatan road and noise was coming from the traffic as well. Thank goodness for the hotel providing ear plugs in every room!

We've complained about the noise and asked to change the room. The hotel put us to a very spacious twin room with bunk bed! ( I think it was designed for 4 people or more.) We've paid the extra about 10 GBP each night but it was so worth it!! Again, very nice and clean room.

The hotel is in the fabulous location very close to Östermalm station and close to fantastic shopping district. We especially liked the bar / restaurant downstairs. It was very nice feeling to have that bar after a night out in the cold Swedish weather.

Overall, We really liked this hotel and we'll come back here next time we travel to Stockholm.
